Blaze continues to show me he doesn't care about missing a stinking leg! He is just four weeks post amp, right front. I have been a bit protective. He does have the fun of the house but I don't allow him to go upstairs to the bedrooms. The stairs are  not carpeted and he simply has no reason. So i generally block the bottom with a baby gate

Well he decided to follow me upstairs this afternoon and he was not wearing his webmaster harness . As you know front amps are ok going upstairs, it's the return trip that presents problems. That sucker bounded down those stairs at full speed under full control! I was beside myself because he was racing my younger golden down the stairs! I thought he would slip or get knocked down by the younger guy.

Fooled me! No harness no carpet not boots no problem!

i still plan to restrict the stairs!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Blaze is living up to his name!

I know it's SO scary to watch them going down stairs without help isn't it? Good idea to keep them off-limits, he's still early in the Tripawd lifestyle.

Way to Go Blaze!!!  I'm glad to see you're doing so well and getting back to your old self!!!

But lets not make any repeat performances with showing your skills on the stairs!  We don't want your mom having heart failure...winker

YAY Blaze!! Sandy did the exact same thing...followed me up & then bounded down before I had chance to put her harness on...heart racing moment of worry...I can certainly relate to that!

So pleased to hear that Blaze is doing so well adapting to life on three legs...they're so amazing aren't they! big-blink

Keep doing so well!
