Hi- First, thanks to all the support before and immediately after Mabey's surgery. Although I only posted a few times with questions the out pouring of support was incredibly helpful. I was worried especially the first week after surgery since she seemed so out of it but you all said to let her rest a lot and that we did! Tomorrow is three week's post surgery and she has been weaned off her pain meds. We still have some Tramadol for days she might over do it but she is doing great without it. I am hoping I figured out how to share a video This was yesterday and the first time in a long time she has played with her sister Winnie. I love how she jumped on the ottoman for leverage since she didn't have the extra leg for balance It confirmed we made the absolute right decision.
WOW.... she looks amazing! It's hard to tell which one is the Tripawd!
So glad she's doing better and everyone is happy and playful.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Mabey looks FANTASTIC!! It's hard to tell that it's only been 3 weeks since her amp surgery. She is recovering so well and I'm happy for you and sweet Mabey that things are getting back to normal for her.
Keep on the good work!!
