Its Storm's 11 month ampuversary today 🙂
He has now slowed right down, walks are only 5-10 minutes and he is peeing regularly. His appetite is still poor and he will now only eat cooked chicken breast and his nightly Detastix but he seems bright as is always waiting at the door when I come home 🙂
I love this boy to death and it breaks my heart to see him slowly deteriorating but he seems to be enjoying life still so we will keep doing everything that he enjoys at his pace.
Chellie you are such an advocate for your beautiful Storm. You and he are both Warriors. Take each day and love & live it fully just like Storm is doing. I know you're doing that each day and spoiling that beautiful boy to the moon and back. You and your beautiful boy remain in my thoughts and prayers daily. Happy 11 months Storm!

CONGRATS!!!! that is a HUGE milestone!!!
Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.
October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
OK well I'm a day late but want to keep this pawty going! Congratulations Storm, you are defying the odds and livin' life on your terms! Yay for another ampuversary!
Chellie, I know it's hard to cope with the changes. I remember them well and yes, I too felt my heart breaking, knowing what our Jerry didn't know and thinking of all the what-ifs. Each time I found myself going down that slippery slope to sadness, all I had to do was look in his eyes and know that he was enjoying every minute just like your Storm. Dogs are so amazing in their ability to live in the now. It's a way of being that we can strive for, and this is one of the greatest lessons that we can learn from caring for a dog with a terminal illness. As you already know, each day is a blessing and as long as Storm is happy and doing what he loves, that's all that matters.
We're sending lots of love & hugs to you from across the pond!
