Baden is hopping around like he was born with only 3 legs. After being home for 2 days on pain meds was all he needed. Day 4 he showed me how he could run. It gave me a heart attack. From that day on, he didn't look back. Being silly humans we were expecting months of recovery. By the time his hair grew back he was our good ole Baden. We were so very fortunate with his recovery, he had no complications following his amputation. Being a Border Collie he must herd, especially his people, at times it was hard to keep him down. Being born with double hip dysplasia I was concerned that the added hopping would make it worse. I put him on diet food & continued my own "therapy". Today his weight is optimal. He was always a few lbs overweight but thru diet & exercise we now have him @ a perfect weight. The weight loss has hlelped to reduce any dysplasia symptoms. We are able to play for the duration & he definetly can wear you out. Baden is a thinker first & doer later. To watch him think about what he would conquer next was fascinating. Their ability to adapt is amazing. We can certainly learn a lot by watching our dogs who are faced with adversity. I cherish The Baden my dog has become. He always puts his family 1st & to me it's a beautiful thing.
Many smiles this summer,
Christine & Baden Mo

Joan and Lily
Our beautiful Lily was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her front leg on 12/14/11 at age 8 and had amp on 12/16/11. She completed 5 rounds of carbo. She was so brave and kicked cancer's butt daily! She lived life fully for 4 years, 3 months, and 15 days after her amp. My angel is a warrior princess. I miss her so much.

Yay! Way to go Baden!
Liberty (Libby) was diagnosed with OSA on 1-22-13. Right front amputation on 1-31-13. No IV Chemo. Metronomic Therapy started 2-19-13 along with supplements and some home cooking. Lungs clear until 1-06-14. She's still her happy, hoppy, bossy self. Living the dog life to the fullest and a proud Winter Warrior. :) RIP my Libby 4-21-03 to 3-19-14
