Hello All,
It seems like a long time since posting (which it has). Tahoe has/is doing great, surpassing his 8 month ampuversary and celebrating his 10th birthday today!! I am so proud of him and really wondered if we would see this day. Now that we are here, I was wondering if anyone had any 'special' recipes/suggestions for a Birthday Meal?
Tahoe is on a home-cooked diet, similar to what Drs Dressler and Ettinger have suggested.
Thanks in advance and I trust all your amazing tripod buddies are doing well?

Definitely Roxy's peanut butter/apple cake! That was what Murphy had for his one year ampuversary. It lasted about ten seconds. Here is the link to the recipe.

Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Happy Birthday and Hoopy Ampuversary Tahoe! Glad to hear that things are going good. Enjoy your day!
Luanne and Spirit Shooter
Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.

So what kind of meal did you end up having? I agree, the apple cake is the best (sorry Hannah!)

Thanks for the great suggestions (Kathy and Sally) and re-connection with Rene and Luanne,
I actually made the apple/peanut butter cake for Mr. T and I ate the meal Sally suggested (haha...). I think Tahoe beat Murph's 10 second record, devouring that delicious cake in 5 seconds...hilarious! All in all, it was a very special day to celebrate his 10 years and I am sooo grateful to the Tripawds community!
PS - if someone can provide a quick tutorial on inserting photos here, I will add some pics of Tahoe's party. Thx
