Has anyone tried Sojos? I'll search the Nutrition Blog next to see if there is info on it there. Looks like it is similar to The Honest Kitchen (which I bought a box of and cannot get Harley to eat, thankfully Toby seems to like it). We were given a sample of Sojos Complete at a pet store today, curious as to if anyone has any experience with it, as I didn't see it listed on dogfoodadvisor.com
Amputation on 11/10/09, due to Histiocytic Sarcoma in left elbow. Angel Harley earned his wings on 06/24/10.
how weird!! I got samples of both the chicken one with the dehydrated chicken or turkey or whatever and the one that didn't have meat and you were supposed to add meat...to that one I added a bunch red meat and my garbage disposal enjoyed it very much...the chicken one the first time, I added some frozen (after defrosting) chicken chunks from Schwanns (if you know what that is...delivery food service...I got a couple of bags of the chicken thinking they would be handy)and I didn't think there was enuf chicken in it and Magic ate it the first time...well let me amend that...not eat eat like out of a bowl like normal dogs...oh no...I was scooping out handfuls and he was eating it out of my hand...that was when I discovered the directions said add one cup of water and according to the pet store it should have had the consistency of stuffing mix after mixing...mine was really watery...so the next time I tried to add just half cup...got the right consistency and my garbage disposal enjoyed that meal too....but he is going through not eating anything but tri tip, round steak, fajita meat and little if anything else....I can't tell you how much useless stuff I have in the freezer and cupboard....bags of the raw chunks that he LOVED til I bought more bags.
give it a try...

Thanks for searching. We have not yet given Sojourner Farms a complete write-up. Perhaps if Harley likes it (or not), you'd like to write a review? We did find the following links to full details about SoJo's at Only Natural Pet:

Speaking of healthy eating, here's a good article from the people who make Halo, about what to look for in commercial dog foods.
Pet Food: What You Need to Know
"Following is a series of posts that will help educate pet owners about reading labels and choosing foods they can trust for their pets. It is easy to be fooled by marketing gimmicks and misleading label claims….pets don't question what they eat…so we must.
What is really in pet food? The pictures presented on cans and bags of pet food conjure up images of a chef cooking divine meals of wholesome cuts of meat and vegetables for our beloved pets. Although this is a lovely idea, it is rarely the case. When animals are slaughtered for food production, the lean muscle is cut off for human consumption. The remaining carcass (bones, organs, blood, beaks, etc) is what goes into pet food, commonly known as "by-products", "meal", "by-product meal", or the like. Read on if you are not faint of heart."

Schwanns (if you know what that is…
Yep, sure do … yummy (expensive) food brought to your door by the friendly Schwan's man (who also will not leave you alone, and make you feel guilty, so you buy something from him, even if you don't really need it … lol).

We're really not in the best position to give reviews on food right now, we're having a hard time finding anything he'll eat more than just a few bites of. Harley was on a high dose of Prednisone and is now being tapered off it, and with this last drop in dose level Harley has pretty much lost his appetite.
