Ok then, Dr D says Jill should get 1000-2000mg omega3 per day = 180-360mg EPA and 120-240 DHA per day.
NN says Jill should get 104mg EPA and 62mg DHA, totaling 214mg oil/day. To match Dr D's dose, you want to feed Jill as though she's >20lb cat or a 10-20 lb small dog.
Big difference! I think as what jerry wrote above, Dr D's recommendations are for when cancer is involved. Normal maintenance/prevention dosage is much, much lower.
I guess we're going to dose Jackson with something more like Dr D's suggestions.
ACL tear in right hind leg 12/5/12 and scheduled ACL repair surgery 12/21/12. Pre-op xrays revealed osteosarcoma. Amputation 12/28/12. Chemo (carboplatin) started Jan 10, 2013 and ended on April 5, for a total of 5 doses. He handled carbo like a champ! No side effects. We started metronomic therapy at his third chemo and have been also doing some holistic treatments. He's a lively, playful 10 year old huskie-boarder collie and a very proud member of the Winter Warriors! Our love. Our funny little guy!
Paw shucks, thanks for your support! Yes, all of the links that you see throughout the Tripawds community, in our blogs, etc., all help us generate some cents to help pay for things like hosting costs, which are crazy. Thank you so much!
