Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. That jerky treat thing is scary because they don't know what is causing the illnesses! I don't feed any kind of jerky.. for treats I give bits of boiled chicken and sometimes a grain-free biscuit here and there.
This is not a shameless plug for my company... that said we pulled all chicken treats (and most other types of treats) from our shelves months ago when this first started surfacing for the safety of our customers. I also added a section to the website that lists all treats we carry that are made in the USA: http://www.that.....in-the-USA
Barret was diagnosed with Hemangiopericytoma May 16, 2013. Front left leg/scapula/pectoral muscle was amputated on June 11, 2013 and we've never looked back. Follow our story on http://barret.t.....pawds.com/ and read my column on That Pet Blog
Daisy LOVED those Wagon Train jerky treats. I fed them to her for years. Fortunately she never got sick from eating them. After all those pets deaths and illnesses started getting reported I went and bought a cheap food dehydrator and now I make her homemade chicken jerky. Since I'm vegetarian (and lazy) and don't like handling meat I buy thin sliced chicken breast strips that go straight from the package to the dehydrator. I (like to) think she loves them even better than the Chinese ones!

That's great info and Jill's vet seems like a great lady!
