Hi, Aiko was diagnosed with lymphoma about 4 months ago. She has been through the Chop Protocol and came out of remission after only 2 months. We then tried the CCNU protocol and after 1 treatment her cancer was still getting worse. So now today, she's on the mopp protocol and she doesn't look like she's responding too well. I'm thinking about going with the holistic approach if the mopp protocol fails(also too expensive)
Any advice on what I should give her?
Right now I'm giving her CAS option for immunity boost(previously she was on k9 immunity plus, which i think i might go back to), and green tea extract(from i love dogs), fish oil.
I was also thinking about putting her on curcurmin(curcuvet) and resveratrol(resvantage).
Any advice on these supplements? anything i should add or remove? Is it okay to put aiko on these supplements while on chemotherapy?
Hello Aiko and family, welcome, your future posts won't need approval. I hope you don't mind that I moved your post here, since this is where we talk about supplements.
I'm not familiar with lymphoma treatment, since I dealt with osteosarcoma, but in the Dog Cancer Survival Guide , Dr. Dressler has lots of good information about treating it, have you seen it? He says it's one of the most treatable cancers and that if your dog comes out of remission one month after coming off the CHOP protocol, he recommends moving to a new one, including: MOPP, MVPP, oral lomustine, doxorubicin, mitoxantrone and actinomycin-D.
Are you presently working with a vet oncologist who is combining holistic and western medicine? Because rather than put your money into so many supplements that may or may not conflict, it would be wise to find an onco who can work with you to find the right combo that will treat it and keep it from returning.

thank u!
I heard a lot about that book but haven't read it yet. I'll look into it. The vet oncologist doesn't know much about holistic medicine. I asked about putting aiko on k9 immunity plus while she was on the chop protocol and she laughed and said "you could if you want"
It's so important to find an oncologist who will work with you if holistic is something you want to pursue. They're out there, just harder to find.

Silly Jerry forgot to provide a link to Dr. Dressler's book. It is also available as part of his Dog Cancer Survival Kit which offers many more helpful resources!
