You can now find the veterinary form of Avemar, Immunovet, imported from Hungary, at http://www.immu.....y4pets.com
What is so amazing about the Avemar/Immunovet is it changes the metabolism of cancer cells by cutting off their food supply, preventing the uptake of glucose. During the use of chemotherapy, cancer cells produce an enzyme that literally blocks their existence preventing the drugs from finding and destroying them. You then have microscopic cells which metastasize. Avemar/Immunovet destroys that enzyme so all cancer cells are visible. That's why it is also recommended to be used with chemo. .
It is one of the most well researched supplements available, all of which can be found at http://www.avemar.com Spend some time reading through the research and you will be thrilled that it is available. There is a group on Yahoo, Avemar for Canine Cancer that has many files and many people supporting this supplement. I use it for prevention with my two Leonbergers because we have 37% cancer in our breed. Abbie, my 9 year old female has been on it since her ovarian cancer surgery 3 years ago. She's doing great.
