Congratulations Diane, we are so glad to hear this. My Mom really likes the "it was so good..." way of looking at it. A perfect way to change a sad situation and turn it into something beautiful.
Please let us know when your new fur kid comes into your life. Good luck!

This Saturday we are bringing our little baby girl home! We are very excited to open up our hearts again to a little border collie puppy named Layla, (after Eric Clapton's song, of course). She was born Oct 14, just 12 days after our Abbey left this earth. It is also my husband's birthday so we took it as a sign that she should be ours.
I wanted to share with yall that last week I was reading in Psalms 42 and came across a verse "Tears have been my food day and night" I like to look up the original words to help give me more understanding so I looked up "night" and learned that it can be a "time of grief and sorrow" but it goes on to say how God gives us "songs in the night" Well the really cool thing is that the original (Hebrew) word is "Laylah" and I was so touched!! It came to me clearly that Layla will be my song in the night. How sweet of the Lord to confirm that to me.
Just wanted to share that with someone who may right now be in a time or sorrow and grief. Embrace it, feel it, grow and learn from it. And finally, you will live through it and joy does come again. Thanks for listening~di
Congrats!!!!! I love Border Collies! They are so smart! And I love her name! At one point all of our greyhounds had songs for their names. It was so cool!
I can't wait to hear stories of her antics while she is growing up!

Wiser words have never been spoken, Diane. Thank you so much for these comforting thoughts. They are needed now more than ever during the holidays for pawrents like mine.
Your little baby girl sounds adorable! We just love the coincidence with her name. Is that a sign or what?!
Congratulations, we are so happy for you!

Did someone say BORDER COLLIE!? Oh man, that's me!! (or half of me - I am a Border Collie / German Shepard mix). This is very exciting news!! Congratulations!!
Diane, Enjoy your new puppy, Layla. I hope you make wonderful new memories with her that you will treasure forever - like you treasure the ones you made with Abbey.
