I am so sorry for your loss. How sweet to see him in a dream. That really is a gift.

Star.... your beautiful poem brought tears to my eyes. I know how very much you love Linus.. he will come to you in your dreams, he may not come as much as you would like, and I know exactly what you mean about going back to sleep and searching for him.. some of the furkids I have lost visit me in my dreams - but they always surprise me and show up when I least expect it, yet it is always at the very best time, as if to help me through some hardship I may be going through. But - come he will - the love goes on and on, you loved him so very much and did all you could for him.. he was very lucky to have had you in his life...

Love Never Ends
I am so sorry for your loss. Doing the "right" thing is so painful. You did good by Linus in keeping your No Bad Day rule. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Debra
Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
I'm so very, very sorry for the loss of Linus. It hurts so bad. And I'm just so sorry but know we are here for you.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
I'm so sorry for your loss. It is so difficult to say goodbye and such a hard decision to make. Thank you for putting him first and having the strength to make sure he had "no bad days".
RIP sweet Linus and run free.
Tai – 9 yr old lab. Diagnosed Osteosarcoma Dec 18/09. Front right leg amputated Dec 21/09. Started chemo Jan 7/10. Lung mets discovered Sept 16/10. Valiant to the end on Oct 26/10 when cancer reappeared in a leg and we made the decision to set her free. Forever in my heart where not even cancer can take her from me.
A beautiful poem about a beautiful dog written by a beautiful person......my condolences to you and your family.
Lisa
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Jo Ann & Tasha
Tasha 8 years old, First cancer diagnosis 6/26/09, Last cancer diagnosis 9/26/09, Amputation 10/01/09, Loving our girl moment by moment.
Tasha lost her battle and became my Angel on May 4 2011. Forever in my heart….
I am sorry. I know words can not help heal your heart, that takes time. I hope your God, or your spirit holds your hearts gently as they heal. It does get better, even when you don't think you can bear any more.
I love when mine come to me in my dreams. Each & every greyhound I have sent to the bridge has appeared to me, usually before their ashes have come home. I always take that as a sign they have made it to our future meeting spot & are doing ok. I am always so sad that their appearance is so brief & like you, I want to sleep more in hopes they will return to my dreams.
Treasure your memories & let your memories become your treasures. Linus was such a beautiful fella

What a beautiful dog 🙂 a few days after Captain Jack turned invisible, my, mom, her dog, and I all heard him bark from the very spot he used to lay in the living room. It was a crazy experience and, like your dream, proof that they are never really far away. I'm sorry you are hurting, but the memories and times you've shared have filled your heart with more love than anyone can ever imagine, and that love will never die.
