Guys, I can't even fathom why things happen like this. The sudden loss of so many heroes breaks my heart and baffles my mind. I wish I knew the right things to say, I just trip over my words because every dog and cat is so special and precious, they all deserve a one-of-a-kind hero's tribute. I ache for their moms and dads, and for everyone here who has never been through one of these times when we lose so many.

Unbelievably, there were other losses this week that didn't make it into this Coping with Loss Forum discussion because their people posted in their ongoing topic. Here they are. If you have a minute would you mind leaving some words of comfort? As  you know, the comments from this special group of people here mean so much when your heart is aching. To know that others get it is what gets you through the day.

My baby Xena: "So today was that day, the day we have known that eventually would come."

Newbie: Sharing our Story: "I went back and read my posts and I don't even remember posting a few of them.  We were so wrapped up in what was going on, you lose time and memory.  We lost Meg on 2/25/14."

P.S. A great big THANK YOU to Bonnie for the nudge to share these two losses here, my brain just didn't think fast enough.

Thank you Jerry for making a separate thread to let us know.  There's been so many new losses posted that I've been focusing more on those than the Share Your Story threads.  I just thought Xena was a new member to the community so I will definitely get over to that thread.  I was a little confused on Meg's thread and went back and re-read everything to understand what was going on but I've posted my condolences.

Thank you Merry. Yeah, the losses sre unbelievably sad. One is one too many...but the numbers for April are staggering..and it's less than two weeks into it. And yes, they do deserve k ne of a kind hero's tribute.

And yes, having been on the receiving end of this community's love and heartfelt compassion...I, like others, can say...words DO help! They DO bring cmfort coming from people who DO understand

Thank you Jerry, you give this site a heart snd soul.

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

Thank you for posting this here ... shaking my head as Awful April rears its ugly head again ... I wish I could understand why it comes in waves ... when you think the tears can stop and then BOOM... Meg, Xena, Murphy, Jackson... am I missing anyone else? These heroes will be honored, loved and worshiped ... and the bridge is busy with cake, glitter (thank you Shelby) and LOTS of toys all around!

Hugs and love to these families ... we stand as one here at Tripawd Nation!

Oh yes... and Shilo ... we cannot forget sweet Shilo!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

We can't forget Marshall who's having a rough time.  If I'm not mistaken his family (their name escapes me right now..sad) had an apt today to release him from his poor body.  This month has not been a kind one to Tripawds as of yet...crying.

Oh yeah..... dear sweet Marshall..... Thank you Sahana!!! Lots of love to his pack as well. I believe they were preparing to release his spirit this week, you are correct!

Agreed - this is Awful April all over again... I cannot even wrap my mind around it all.
