Shanna,
I am so sorry. I cannot express my sadness. Please know that you are in our thoughts.

Shanna, I'm so sorry to hear of Trouble's passing. But, as others have already said, she beat cancer, and that is no small feat. I am so glad you were able to spend so much time with Trouble these past few days. I have to tell you, John and I had two full weeks with Max when we let him go. We didn't know at the time that his health was going to decline so quickly, but we both feel those last weeks we spent with him made his passing just a bit easier for us. We never wanted him to go, but all the happy memories of him and his life with us got us through it. I hope the same for you. Trouble was a brave girl, a fighter, and one of the very few who kicked cancer's ass. Things are hard for you now, but hopefully knowing these things will help you through this sad time. John and I are sending our deepest condolences your way; you are in our thoughts.

Shanna,
What to say... you know all the words because you have written them to so many of us who have come to this point in the journey before you.
Trouble is a symbol of strength and dignity for tripawds, for cancer dogs, for pit bulls, for aging dogs. Trouble leaves a legacy that you must be proud of, and that legacy will one day bring you comfort and peace.
But for now I will mourn with you, and offer what ever you need to help you navigate this next part of your journey.

Shanna, My heart is breaking for you...having lost two of my own pups within the last six months, tears are flowing with a heart full of sympathy and empathy for you. Just knowing that Trouble earned her wings with a wagging tail makes me smile. Be good to yourself... more pawsitive thoughts coming your way.

Shanna,
We are so sorry for your loss, I wish I could say something to make it less difficult but I know I can't.

TATE ~ Forever in our hearts.
I will not say goodbye to Trouble - you see, she has touched all of our lives and therefore will forever be living through us in what we have learned and how we will live. She lived an amazing physical life and will continue to do so as the newest invisible dog. By the way, Jack just told me she gave him a kiss...I always knew they were meant for each other!!!!! Best of wishes to you and your family.

Shanna,
I haven't been frequenting Tripawds as often as I should lately... and I just read the post about Trouble on Facebook so I had to get on here!
I am so sorry to hear the news!! Trouble has been here ever since I started my journey with Jake and long afterwards. I guess I just thought that Trouble would always be here. My heart aches for you and your loss. I know how sad and empty you are feeling now... but Trouble is running free in heaven with all the other awesome Tripawds that have gone before her... Hopefully she will meet up with my angel Jake while she's up there too!!
Sending you a big loving hug! You are in my thoughts and prayers during this very sad and difficult time! Trouble will never be forgotten!!
Angel Jake and Wolfie's Mom

Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!

Oh Shanna, I am so sorry to read this latest. Please know we are sending lots of comforting thoughts across the miles to you. We are here for you, as you have always been for us. Sad, quiet tears are falling here.
Hugs,
Holly, Zuzu and Susan
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Trouble was the true hero of this club no one ever wants to join. She lost her leg to cancer, but not her life. The loss of a friend is a terrible thing, but know that with her passing, she became what all our three-legged friends aspire to be – a dog who beat cancer and died as every dog should – of grand, dignified old age after a long and happy life.
Rest in peace, Trouble. You earned it.
We will always hold a special place in our hearts for those Tripawd Heroes we have personally met, especially long ago. And Trouble is a true hero. Bless you for being so good to her. Peace.

Not that you had any doubt what you and Trouble mean to this group, but look at the people who have emerged from the shadows within a few hours of your posting: Invisible Jack, Jake and Cherry.
I always loved that name: Trouble the Tripawd.
Shanna - I am so sorry for your loss, although as Jerry says the words pale. I know you were blessed to see Trouble to live to an older age relative to most of the tripawd clan (but never old enough), but having a dog age still does not make losing them any easier and Trouble's troubles seem to have come up quite suddenly. I also thought the bedrock of our group would be with us for much much longer.
Take care of yourselves. Trouble was an especially smart gal to have adopted such a wonderful family.
Susan
Shanna, I'm so sorry. We've been in this together for a long time and Trouble has been a rock of strength. She will always be, as far as I'm concerned. I'm sending belated hugs and good thoughts to you along with everyone else.
