We brought Roscoe's ashes home today. When he was rushed into the back room struggling to breathe at the vets office, they allowed him to have his human sister's blanket with him for comfort. When they brought him to us to say goodbye, he was wrapped in it and we had him cremated with it so he could be wrapped in our love for eternity. We also received a card in the mail from the oncologists office today, and tucked inside was his paw print. In my hysteria that day I hadn't even thought to ask them for that...and I'm so grateful to have it. If you know Roscoe's story, you would know that he was destined to be mine and I will love him for a thousand years.

Elizabeth, I want you to know right off the bat I haven't been able to click the little "start arrow" because I'm crying too hard!!
I can at least get itntogether enough to say how glad I am Rosco is back home. I'm glad he's all cozy wrapped up in the "blanket of love". And you know what? Rosco was breathing in every scent on that blanket that day and that gave him the feeling you were right there with him!! .
Okay my friend, I'm gonna go try and see ths beautiful tribute of love through the tears. I already knownitnis perfection!

Karma and I watched this last night Elizabeth, it's SO beauuuuutiful. You can feel the love you put into that tribute. How awesome you had so many great photos of him. What a life you gave him in such a short amount of time! His spirit will stay strong in your heart as his way of thanking you for showing him what real love is all about.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Elizabeth,
I can't decide if your extraordinary video talent is because of your incredible love and devotion for your pups, (and ours as well, for that matter) combined with your immense grief, or you are just clearly a top-notch professional, but either way, you have reduced all of us to endless tears......He will be forever wrapped in not only his blanket of love, but wrapped in all of our hearts as well. I am in awe of how much this little sweet guy impacted so many of our lives in just the short time he was gifted to you and Eric. He truly knew the ultimate depth of love from you both while he was here, and we loved him through you. I am so very happy I got to love on him at the VA party. This video is amazing, thank you for sharing it with us.
We will all be loving him for a thousand years through a thousand tears....... <3
So much Love to you.....{{{{hugs}}}}

I can't say anything that hasn't been said but I just watched this with tears running down my face. I am so glad Rosco found you and Eric as his forever home .... even if it wasn't for forever ... the time he was with you - he knew MORE love than he would ever know and that was a thousand years for him! He was meant to be with you. Thank you for sharing a glimpse of his AMAZING life with us!
Alison with the spirit of shelby fur-ever in her heart *and little jasper too

I just sit and shake my head at how this little guy named Rosco touched the lives of so many in such a short time.
It is sooooo clear through these treasured pictures that Rosco absorbed your loving energy and will always have that with him. And make nommistake about it, you jave absorbed his loving energy and will always have it with you. Look at the photos with the two of you together. You are both surrounded by LOVE AND LIGHT!!!
I had to laugh when I saw on another post of yours that Rosco didn't really like being close to Tanner because he was such a Diva. I still haven't figured out if you meant Tanner or Rosco. I kinda think Rosco though because he has such an air of confidence in so many of his pictures. And he REALLY, REALLY "poses" with THE cutest looks he can muster up! I'm telling you, that dog knew he was CUTE!!
If, indeed, we are Spiritual Beings first before we take on our physical appearance, there is not reason to believe we don't become Spiritual Beings again once we rid ourselves of our physicality. That is the infinite force of who we "are"...energy...Spiritual Beings...it is who Rosco is. The essence of who Rosco is transcends the "illusion" of "death".
Elizabeth, when I look at these pictures of Rosco during his earth journey, I have such a powerful sense of him having a"knowing" that I can almost "feel" through the screen. A "knowing" that, even though he is in his earth clothes, keeps him connected to his "energy", his "Spiritual Being".
I know we've talked about this before, but Rosco came here to see what love, real unconditional love, felt like! He needed to know this for the growth of his Spiritual Being. He designed the earth clothes he would use and he picked the humans he knew would help him carry out his mission. Even if it meant he had to wear a "tuxedo bib" and have lots of pictures taken side by side with Tanner!!
I think the thing Rosco would want you to know the most, is that he had an absolute ball being adored, revered and loved so deeply! Rosco would want you to know he accomplished his mission and could shed his earth clothes fairly quickly because your love was so powerful, so soul deep snd pure!
Elizabeth, I'm just typing whatever is coming through and I'm not gonna even go back and read it!. If I do, I'll probably think its crazy and go and erae it! Instead....I'll just trust!
Yes, we'll be lpving Roscoe for a thousand years. As he has taught us, his energy is infinite. Goodness only know what physical body Rosco will select for his next journey! Whatever it is, we know he'll be CUTE and he'll nave a blast!! Heck! Who knows? He may even be visiting you again!
Like Bonnie and Jerry, and so mnynothers,we had the PRIVILEGE, the true privilege of meeting Rosco and that dog jumped straight into our hearts and planted a permanent smile on it. And we are all better for knowingnhim! Now that's a dog who lived a life of meaning!
May the happy memories continue to heal your heart. May the "knowing" that all is well and as it should be in Rosco's spiritual paradise, bring you comfort. After all, this is the journey we all agreed to take together from our energy state! Crazy ride, huh?
You could not have done a more perfect tribute Elizabeth! I was finally able to keep the tears at bay enough to let some smiles come through with each photo. Those looks he could give...priceless! And Tanner, make no mistake aboutnit, you are ADORABLE and loved too! They are such sacred treasures and we all thank you for sharing them with us.
Surrounding you with ROSCO'S ETERNAL LOVE AND LIGHT!

May you finally be healthy and running free at the Rainbow Bridge. Until we meet again my sweet boy!
Ok, I will try this once again. The internet ate my post yesterday and today up until now, I could not post to your wall. Probably user error. This is just beautiful! What a tribute! I am so happy I had the chance to meet this dear little pup and give him a smooch on his head. I will forever have the image in my head of you holding him in your lap at the picnic. He hasn't left you, you now hold him in your heart. He knew love, safety, a full belly and a warm cuddly place to sleep. Because of you, he got to have the time of his life for those few months instead of loneliness. He ran for the Bridge with a full heart! Thinking of you during these hard days, Lori, TY & Gang

She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
What a beautiful tribute to your little guy Elizabeth. I can't think of anything others have not already said except I hope working on it and completing it eased some of your pain at Roscoe's loss. Sending you peace and love from the OP.
