We just returned from the vets, Samson (known to all here as Monkeybutt Samson007) has joined Spirits Daisy and Lady at the rainbow bridge.
We ask all of our friends not to grieve but to celebrate his life with extra treats for all...perhaps with a Flying Dutchman or two!
Samson lived a full life and was my constant and faithful companion for 14 years. He has taught me much about how to truly live life like a dog and filled our lives with joy and fond memories. He will be missed.

MB Perdy
Spirit Samson was Spirit Tripawd Daisys four legged "brother" and ruled as the self proclaimed head of the Monkeybutt Federations East Coast Division. Lady Chunky Monkey stayed from Oct 2011 and left for the bridge in Apr 2012. Miss Perdy is left and has some big pawprints to fill.

There are no words to express this great sorrow. I have to cry for his loss for now.
Oh Samson. We miss you. You brought so much joy and smiles.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Oh Samson! We will miss your antics!! Samson has always been such a bright spot here.
I'm sorry you had to let him go - but love your strength and attitude. We will celebrate his life tonight, and the incredible 14 years you shared together (!) by giving Rita an extra treat and an extra hug and kiss.
Thinking of you guys.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

Julie and Bob,
I can't help but be sad about this, but I do understand the absolute need to celebrate a life well-lived. If we don't celebrate, then what's the point in squeezing in so much good stuff?
Evelyn will be lost without her mentor but I surely hope Samson will raise some holy hell across the rainbow bridge. It's what would make me smile the most, I think.
Thinking of you and wishing you many happy memories.
Shari, Dakota, Evelyn
From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
I'm so sorry it was Samson's time. Your determination that we celebrate his life rather than grieve is an inspiration. Thinking of you.
Karen and Spirit Magnum
Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Magnum's motto - "Dream as if you'll live for ever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean). Loyal, loving, courageous and spirited to the end. My beloved heart dog, see her memoirs from Rainbow Bridge ...... http://princess.....pawds.com/
I can't help but to feel sad for your loss. However, I agree that to celebrate a life well lived is really the best tribute we can give. Samson brought smiles to many faces, and for you to smile at happy memories is just what he'd want. Well, that and to continue to raise monkeybutt havoc at the rainbow bridge (tripawd angels beware.....)
Thinking of you during this tough time,
Lisa
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
I can't help but be sad right now. I so loved Samson's antics. He was Busters mentor. We will celebrate his life today by giving Monkeybutts Finchy and Buster extra love and treats. I bet he found Daisy right away when he got up there.
Sending hugs

Diagnosed with OSA: 5/2/2011 Ampuversary: 5/11/2011 OSA returned in hip: 8/26/2011

the monkeydogs only THINK they have invaded the tripawd state
We can't believe this news. Samson always seemed like such a kid to us, like he would live forever. Our hearts go out to you, Julie and Bob. As sad as his loss is, and as much as we will miss him, we won't grieve his passing but smile at all of the funny, hilarious times he brought to Tripawds. Thank you for sharing this very special Monkey dog with us.
