I'm just now seeing this.....I'm so very sorry for the loss of your boy, and that you had such a short time with him after surgery. Although I've learned since being here, that the AMOUNT of time is not nearly as important as the QUALITY of time. Still, our time is never long enough with our precious pups. Bless you for knowing that it was time, even as your hearts were breaking. Wishing you peace in the days ahead.
Paula and Nitro
Nitro 11 1/2 yr old Doberman; right front amp June 2014. Had 6 doses carboplatin, followed by metronomic therapy. Rocked it on 3 legs for over 3 years! My Warrior beat cancer, but couldn't beat old age. He crossed the Bridge peacefully on July 25, 2017, with dignity and on his terms. Follow his blog entitled "Doberman's journey"
"Be good, mama loves you".....run free my beautiful Warrior
Oh Jenifer, I don't know how I missed this. I have been offline for a couple days, its thanksgiving here. Everyone has already posted such beautiful heartfelt messages and all I can do is sit here and cry as I go through them all and stare over at my Kylie and realize how precious each day really is. I am at a loss for words. It all happens so quick it seems!
I am so so sorry for your loss. What a terribly tough decision. But knowing you did all you can and you loved him to the very end with all your heart is all he can ask. Now he is running free across rainbow bridge with his many friends. I hope you find peace and take time to heal & grieve. I am here anytime. Many many hugs from Kylie & I xoxox
