Tracy/Richard,
So sorry to read about Zato. He looks so noble in that picture. Keeping you all in my thoughts. I know how tough this part of the journey is.
David and Rocky (and Baxter now too!)
Rocky had his right front leg amputated on Valentine's Day 2017 after being diagnosed with osteosarcoma.
He joined the September Saints on September 3, 2017.
He is the toughest, bravest, sweetest and best friend I'll ever know.
Thank you all so much for your love. I've updated Zato's blog.

So very sorry about your loss of your sweet Zato, we all surely know how difficult this journey’s end is. Just keep remembering to take deep breaths, appreciate the life you shared with Zato, and in time, that peace will come into your heart. So many of us believed we would never survive our losses of our very special and beloved Tripawds, but thankfully, somehow we do, and go on to love other pups. Trust me, that heavy grief will eventually leave, and be replaced with what I like to call joy in my heart, for have being privileged to have my wonderful angel Tripawd Polly sharing my life with me for 9 years. I will always miss her, but I have been able to move forward as well, to love my new Lab girls Pearl and Zuzu.
Thinking of you, and hoping all Zato’s joyful memories ease the pain in your heart ❤️

“Dogs, lives are short, too short, but you know that going in. You know the pain is coming, you're going to lose a dog, and there's going to be great anguish, so you live fully in the moment with her, never fail to share her joy or delight in her innocence, because you can't support the illusion that a dog can be your lifelong companion. There's such beauty in the hard honesty of that, in accepting and giving love while always aware that it comes with an unbearable price. Maybe loving dogs is a way we do penance for all the other illusions we allow ourselves and the mistakes we make because of those illusions.”
