We all couldn't help but instantly falling in love with Gus, our very own real farm dog. We'll, I got the privledge of seeing all of his photos and I couldn't help but fall in love all over again. I know everyone will see what I mean. I tip my hat to Dan for being the greatest farm dog dad! Here's Cometdog's gift to you for being a friend!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
That is so beautiful! Show me the happiest, livin' the dog's life, don't interrupt me (I'm busy drinkin' cow's milk), playin' in the hay dog in the whole wide world...and well, I'll show you Gus ! Thanks so much Comet (and everyone involved in this awesome production ) And thank you Dan, for sharing Gus with us. I see a whole bunch of "used to be tripawds" giving Gus high fives (paws up) for a life well lived.
Sadie's mom
Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

A beautiful reminder to all of us what a special friend Gus continues to be.

Gus was such a lucky boy, getting to be a farm dog. Such a lovely place. That is a great way to celebrate his life. Good job again Cometdog.

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
I love all the pictures of Gus with his huge pink tongue hanging out!!! Looks like such a happy boy!! A great video and tribute to our fallen hero.
-Chloe's mom
Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
Well folks, there you have it, that was my buddy. First off, thank you cometdog for taking the time to put this together, and again as I have said before, you all mean the world to Gus and myself. I hope you get a taste of who Gus was from this and the video we posted awhile back. He was one of a kind, and as I have said before, to say I miss him is a huge understatement, but we are no different than anyone else here who has or is going through the same thing with their buddies, and to have this family going down this road is he best. Extra paws up this time to cometdog, Gus and Dan
My buddy Gus had a left front amputation on April 7, 2010 and lived a great life until July 26,2010
beautiful!! what a wonderful expression of true joy. job well done comet. gotta watch that again!
charon & gayle
Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
What a beautiful video! And the song...just perfect! Rainbows...just looking at Gus you could tell that he was one very happy farm pup. What a beautiful boy. I can imagine how you must miss him so much Dan.
Definitely extra paws up for Gus and Comet!
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
What a beautiful tribute to Gus!

Amputation – January 13 2010
Crossed the Bridge – June 2 2011
On the underwear subject, lets just say I'm not to picky about my attire while watching tv, and when we took one of the the pictures of Gus laying on my lap there was more to the picture than there is now, but at my age I'm not out to impress anyone so I don't really worry about to much, but it was JUST underwear!!!!!!
