At 6:15 this evening Shooter crossed the Rainbow Bridge. What a fighter he was and will be greatly missed. I know he is up there playing Rocky Mountain Puppy Wrestling with his brother Cutter who he missed so much. Thanks so, so much to all of you for your love and support. This will always be a place for me to come and hopefully our story can help others on their journey.

Luanne, I am devastated for you and with you. It has been a bad month, Awful August, and I feel like enough is enough. Your boy was doing so well and we were all rooting for him. Hell, he was easy to root for! Adorable, sweet, smart--what's not to love?
I wish I could give you a huge hug. Instead, all I can offer is my sorrow with you.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Luanne,
I honestly thought I was reading this wrong. I am so so terribly sorry. You have always been such a great support to me and Jill.
Shooter was such a brave fighter. He is now running, watching you from up above.
My thoughts are with you at this difficult time.
All my love,
Erica
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. Luanne, I am so sorry to hear about shooter. He will be missed greatly. Please know you are in my thoughts.

Awful August - that's exactly what this month is.
I am so sad for your loss. Each and every loss hits me hard, but also makes me more thankful for what I have now because it can all be lost in just a second. I'm sure you enjoyed every minute of Shooter's life with you. Be sure to remember the good times often and take comfort that he will live on in your heart and in our hearts forever.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity and help to me and everyone else on this site and thank you for sharing Shooter's journey with us. You'll never know just how many people you have helped.

Barret was diagnosed with Hemangiopericytoma May 16, 2013. Front left leg/scapula/pectoral muscle was amputated on June 11, 2013 and we've never looked back. Follow our story on http://barret.t.....pawds.com/ and read my column on That Pet Blog
Luanne.. I'm so sorry you had to type this post.. we all hate typing that post".. we dread typing "that post" and we all cry with you when reading "that post". I swear sometimes I want to stay away from this site because I cry every time I read of one of these sweet boys and girls running for the Bridge. *gah*
You and Shooter have been such great support to all of us here, and you have always been there to comment on our blogs, our pictures and "our posts". Please know that you are in our thoughts.. and I wish you some sanity during this time..
Don't forget to laugh while you cry, cause we all know that Shooter had a great time and are many, many good memories stored in your heart!
Christine..... with Franklin in her heart ♥
F*&K ...I hate that "C" word.. yeah.. someone had to say it!!!
Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Oh Luanne, I couldn't believe it when I heard . . . what an unexpected, awful shock, and I am so, so very sorry.
We cannot begin to express our appreciation for all that you've done for this community by being there throughout Shooter's journey. Shooter has helped so many people around the globe in his very short battle, I hope this can bring you some comfort during this very sad time.
Go play with all the angels watching over us Shooter, we'll be listening for you.

Our thoughts are with you, Luanne. There has been so much sorrow on this site for the past month, but please take comfort in the fact that we are all there for you. RIP, Shooter.
Murphy and Kathi
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Psong so proudly in your stylish bandanna! Yeah, you rock alright handsome boy.
Remember when you did the mile walk? The one where your dad had to keep resting because HE got tired and tried to make it look like you were the one who got tired? Remember how when you finished you got cheers and applause?
I bet the cheers were even louder when you did your victory lap running over the Rainbow Bridge! And look, there's your horse friend galloping towards you to welcome you home! Wait! What's that he's carrying in his moith? Oh my goodness! It's your mom's flip flops! Yeah, I see ya' wagging and grinning!! Chew on sweet Shooter, I'm sure there are plenty more flip flops stashed around there.
Hilding you in our heartts Luanne,
Sally and Happy Hannah
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
