No, No, No, No! Kacee, I am so sorry! I haven't been on in several days but I had been hoping sweet Riley had been getting better. She has been such a cheerleader for the Chili Dawg. It breaks my heart to read this 🙁 Words can't express the sorrow that I feel for you. She was a really beautiful girl and made this site a brighter place. Run free, sweet girl, we will miss you.

This is so terribly heartbreaking!!! It's so hard to understand and accept why our Dogs cannot stay here with us forever. Praying for your peace and healing during this incredibly difficult time. Riley will live in your heart forever and her love will always be with you. So sorry for your tremendous loss.

Thank you everyone for being here for Kurt and I this past few days…. all the posts, P/M's , emails, etc. were so heartfelt – I don't know how to convey my thanks and appreciation to each and every one of you….
We were 1 month shy of Riley's adoption date 10 years ago – we knew from the moment we brought her home she was going to be a great dog / friend / companion and I can honestly say she had a beautiful and wonderful life.
When Riley broke her leg in December and we chose amputation vs. euthanasia we knew every day going forward was going to be precious and we made each day be about her and each day was special. (it already was but even more so, if that sounds possible).
It's been tough, no two ways about it – tears are still flowing…..and the house feels so so empty…..
We were so lucky to have her in our lives……and hopefully soon the sweet memories will overrule the tears.
I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Riley. I wish their were words that could heal the pain that our pup's passing leaves in our hearts. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.
