We were so hoping to have Ellie here with us on her 1-year ampuversary (9/18). But of course we didn't get that lucky. So instead I made a little movie to celebrate her life.
Denise, Bill and Angel Ellie
Active 10+ Pyr mix suddenly came up lame with ACL tear in left rear leg. Scheduled for a TPLO but final pre-op x-rays indicated a small suspicious area, possibly OSA, which could have caused the ACL tear. Surgeon opened the knee for TPLO but found soft bone. Biopsy came back positive for OSA. Became a Tripawd 9/18/14. Carbo6 with Cerenia and Fluids. Pain free and living in the moment. Crossed the Bridge on 7/12/15 after probable spread of cancer to her cervical spine. A whole lifetime of memories squeezed into 10 months. Here's her story: Eloise

I'm gonna come back because eight now I can't see the video. This is what I got:
No video with supported format and MIME type found
And, additionally, I KNOW I'll be shedding a few tears and I have to go into work.
I do want to espress my gratitude to Ellie for bringing you here and for giving us the privilege of knowing you and knowing her. Ellie DID defy the odds for a larger "mature" gal. You continue to reach out to others with all the insight you gained from being here with her on this journey. Through your compassion and commitment to her legacy, Ellie still nas a life affirming presence here in helping others. others.
I'll be back later this evening and can hopefully see the video then. I just wanted you to know how valued your support here is and what an impact Ellie continues to have on us all.
Much love,
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
What a BEAUTIFUL video!!!! I loved all those photos ... thank you for sharing with us.
We didn't make a one year ampuvesary either and that was tough... I get it. But Elle is always with you.... I love her name... Eloise is one of my favorite names!
So beautiful.... thank you for sharing a bit of her amazing life with us!
alison with spirit shelby in her heart
Shelby Lynne; Jack Russell/Shiba Inu mix. Proud member of the April Angels of 2014.
October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Sweet Ellie, and lovely video..... Those first anniversaries after our pups go to the Bridge are SO hard, we all do understand; My angel Polly also only made it for 4 months after her amputation, but I am still so grateful for every second I had with her since the day I got her as a young puppy..... And her journey with the ugly c made our time together even more precious....
One thing you can be sure of, is none of our beloved pups or kitties will ever be forgotten here, ever....
Thinking of you today, and sweet angel Ellie.....
Bonnie, Angel Polly, Pearl and Zuzu
Aww Ellie, we miss you too. Hoppy Ampuversary in Heaven pretty pup.
P.S. We can't see the video either. Have you tried uploading to YouTube then pasting the video URL on a separate line by itself? Where is the video hosted? We'll try to help.

It was in a public dropbox folder but I put it on youtube. Never published to youtube so hope this will work. (Edit: it works for me, hopefully for others).

Yep, I knew the tears would be flowing...but I was also smiling through the tears. Elloe, you clearly were one of THE most loved dogs on the Planet. You really are the cornerstone of your family.
It is such an honor to be able to see this beautiful pictorial into glimpses of you happy life. With each picture I wanted to come through the screen and smooch your gentle face. Your humans must have just loved getting all snuggly in all that wonderful fur of yours.
Denise, you have done a beautiful job of capturing the essence of Ellie with your well thought out, heartfelt video. Your tribute celebrates a lofe well loved and so well loved. I love the one of she and Bill lying together. I can just hear him telling her she is your sun and you are her moon. And yeah, Ellie as the star of the snow scenes, sooo sweet! Licking the snow...how did you capture that precise moment? Perfect!!
The video of her making "Snow Angels"...that one is etched in my heart forever.
Thank you for sharing this lovely tribute of such a lovely and gentle Soul. I can see her telling everybody at the Bridge what a great time she had in her earth clothes with THE best two humans a dog could want!! I can also see her rolling around on her back on soft clouds making "Cloud Angels"!
Surrounding you with Ellie's eternal grace...
