Oh dear, Rocket. What indignities you have to put up with!
I am NOT going to let my sweet little Bunny Rita read this, you can rest assured that your wee-wee hair clipping will remain a secret where she is concerned. She is just a puppy! She doesn't need to know about these things yet...
In fact, I hope you aren't trying to kiss on her or anything when I'm not looking. Nose-pokes and a little wrestling - that's all that's allowed. Oh, and salsa dancing, of course. Her daddy will go out and get a shotgun if he has to!
She is sleeping very sweetly in a cute little ball right now. I'm sure she is having very innocent and chaste dreams about her MBBunny boyfriend. 🙂
And, yes, you let your Mommy check your mouth. We need our Monkeybutt Bunny leader to stay healthy!
Jackie
{BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!! I just got a mental image of you getting your weewee hairs trimmed! Careful w/ those clippers, Mr. Groomer Man!! Oh, my stomach hurts from laughing! Phew! Thanks for the yucks. KISSES! Angel Abby}
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. I can't believe it's been six months already since we lost Gayle. She was an inspiration -- a true Tripawd Warrior Princess -- and we miss her, too.
Rio had a melanoma, too, but it wasn't until your posts about Gayle that I realized it could grow inside their mouths as well as elsewhere on their body. And that the oral ones were the really nasty ones. Thanks so much for sharing this with us. Your experience with Gayle may very well help another pup to get an early jump on a really deadly disease.
And tonight we'll have extra treats (after mom checks our mouths again) in honor of your sister, Gayle. I hope that she and Rio are keeping each other company... Rio always needed someone strong to watch her back for her.
Rio's momma, Micki

Hi, I finally did an oral check on both of our labs and I am happy to report that I didn't see anything terrible or suspicious in there. And because of your advice, I showed Hunter's small bump on the inside of his left upper lip to his oncologist today. Our regular vet thought it was nothing months ago, but I wanted to be on the safe side and do my part in reporting anything to our new cancer vets. (We think he got poked during his last pheasant hunt, and the tiny 2mm pink bump hasn't changed in size or color)
Thanks Spirit Gayle for this important advice!!

Our Super Dog Hunter crossed over the Rainbow Bridge on a beautiful summer day in July, just 3 days shy of his 10th Birthday. He gave us everything since he was 8 weeks old. Hunter was a 14 month warrior of OS. We LOVE and MISS him every day.
we're so pleased that so many of you are starting and continuing to do oral exams on your pups. keep up the great work, gayle is smiling!!

Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
Great advice! We are so glad Gayle brought us the awareness!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
I'd like to report that we just did another check and Mr. Monkeybutt Bunny Vampire Pirate is all clear on mouth and paws!

Oh! Oh! Oh! NOW LET ME GIVE YOU MY VERSION OF THIS SPOT CHECK PROCESSS!!
*********** WARNING IT AIN'T PRETTY!!!! **********************
First this horrible day started off by mommy saying I needed a bath! So, I got a bath by mommy (daddy usually does it but he had a Her-Knee-A surgery. I think that's how it's spelled but it has nothing to do with his knee)! I sure wished he was well enough BECAUSE Mommy rubbed my bo-bo really, really hard - she said it was dirty!!! (daddy would never do that!)
Just about when I'm dry....Mommy in all her diligence says........"He has a knot on his wee-wee hairs that needs to be clipped." Before I could hit the floor running (she can't catch me), Daddy had whisked me up and had a giant-size pair of scissors in his hand! I've seen mommy use those scissors to cut boxes open and edge the lawn with them!!! Thank goodness mommy said, "I have children's scissors I use for that.' ..........PHEW!!!!! And then she starts clipping my wee-wee hairs! But then she says, "I should get on some better glasses!" Can you believe it? She couldn't even see and was cutting around my wee-wee! ???!?!
And then she decides to check my mouth and my paws! I nicked my dew claw pad but it's okay, it's not even bleeding or anything, it's just a little scuff and of course she has been fuss with that too!
Well, I'm okay.....now. I hope my monkeyfriends don't have to endure such treatment. But my version is WAY different than mommy's!!!
A blind groomer with scissors? OUCH!
Well at least you smell better!
Or do you?

MBBunny Rocket!! OMD my special brave sweetie!! What you had to go through is ridiculous!! Your Mama should not be coming at you with clippers and no glasses!!
Wait a minute... she didn't need to get out a magnifying glass to see your weewee did she?? Just regular glasses right???
Well, anyway - you keep that thing safe! (I bet you smell nice and purty.)
Your spicy jalapeno, salsa-dancing girlfriend,
MBBunny Rita
I am a Monkeybutt Bunny. I used to live on the beach in Mexico. Now I have it good. Well, mostly good anyway. My mama tells me about my angel big sister, Abby, all the time. Apparently she was like a big deal or something....
Have you been talking to my monkeybutts? One of them was getting a bath/grooming today and he was horribly opposed to having his wee-wee hairs clipped. We are just trying to help you guys! I think those knots probably hurt, plus it smells really bad when you pee on that hair and it stays there.
