Suzanne, Marc-André, and Spirit Oslo,
Once more, words fail me as I attempt to describe how sorry we are to hear of the passing of Oslo, and would ask that you accept our deepest sympathy at this time. While there is the emotion at this time that you had these additional eleven months, I also totally understand that Oslo's time with you was FAR TOO SHORT!!! His antics brought a great deal of joy to all that have read them, and we thank you for sharing each and every triumph. Your description of a very courageous being is totally apt for this huge personality, but you also have to realize that it was your love that made Oslo fight so very hard to keep the pack together.
I am very fond of saying that you will never totaly be without Oslo, for the gifts that Oslo gave you will be with you forever. By sharing this great story, Oslo will be with so many of us.
We send you all our prayers at this very tragic time.
Spirit Cherry's Dad
My heart is breaking for you. Oslo will certainly be missed. I wish there were words I could give you that would help and yet there aren't any. Please know that you will be in my prayers.

Oh, Oslo...
I'm so sorry that your sweetheart moved on so soon. Hang in there. More thoughts and prayers are coming your way.
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.

Tuesday night Oslo started to show us that it was enough. He stared at me, and I knew. I prayed for months that when the time would come, I would know and I would be strong enough to let him go. He deserved to be listened to.
Suzanne and Marc-Andre,
I am so sorry to hear you had to let Oslo go. I hope the fact that it was clear to you that it was his time, and that you did right by him bring you some amount of peace. I know it has helped me since I said goodbye to Maggie a month ago.
Sending thoughts of peace and strength to you.

Our dear Oslo. I am so sorry. I have not been around since leaving home in early-May. For some reason, I logged on today and immediately saw the sad news.
You have done so much to brighten the days and hearts of many tripawds and their people, including Tazzie and myself, turning our virtual friends into real friends that we hope and expect to meet someday. I hope we can be of some comfort to you at this painful time.
For now, I will be thinking of Oslo and his first swim as a 3-legger, his voracious appetite for M-A's socks, and most of all Oslo thoroughly enjoying himself this year both in Montreal and at his kingdom.
Susan
Reading all your compassionate posts make me cry again and again. Thank you so much for being there and having great memories of my goofy baby. Knowing that he is remembered brings a lot of joy and peace in my heart.
It's been a week that Oslo is gone and my heart is still hurting very much. But as he and Tripawds friends showed me: one day at a time, enjoy life to its fullest. So I try everyday to find a funactivity to do. Marc-André and I both need sometime for our heart to heal and then, when we will feel the timing is good, we will adopt another dog for sure.
We went to the vet clinic on Monday evening and the staff was in tear when we arrived. We love them all for loving Oslo so much. Dr A. did not want us to pay for the many phone calls he made to help Oslo while we were helpless on Oslo's kingdom. He said Oslo was a member of his family and he had tears in his eyes when he said he wished deeply he was the one who would have been there to free Oslo. That touched me so much. I feel blessed for having Dr A. in our life.
Oslo's leggacy is tremondous. He left his footprints in many many hearts.
I'm so sorry to hear about Oslo. I always love seeing the picture of his big, beautiful face. I am happy he was able to go to his kingdom one last time - and hope that brought him much happiness. We're all sending big hugs to you...

Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

For sure.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Your Dr A sounds a lot like our Dr F. I cannot begin to tell folks how lucky we are to have found him, and I can tell you feel the same way. Oslo and all tripawds, I suspect, touch the lives of everyone they come in contact with. I am sure Oslo will be missed by more folks than you can even imagine. What a great legacy, to be loved as Oslo is.
