I am so sorry to hear of your sweet girls passing. You gave her all the love you had and in the end, the best gift you could give her. You set her free.
You'll see her again. I truly believe that. and NO WHAT IF's! They'll drive you crazy and they serve no purpose but to torment you.
Just hold on to all the happy times in your memories. As hard as it is to believe, the truth is, someday in the future (hopefully the near future) you will be able to think of her without the gut wrenching pain you feel now.
Take care and Maddie and I are praying for you. (YES dogs pray too! 🙂

Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
We too are sorry to hear that Kali has left her body behind. But her spirit will live forever in your heart and in ours. Peace to you in these hard times. Letting go is never easy but it is sometimes the best gift we can give. Run free beautiful Kali.

So, so sorry to hear that Kali's journey has come to an end. In this difficult time, try to focus on the "what if's" that matter: what if you hadn't had her in your life, what if you hadn't had the smiles and joy she brought to you, what if you hadn't given her the chance to fight her illness. These are the important "what if's." And these are the ones to focus on now.
Our thoughts are with you, and we're sending you support and comfort,
Micki and Rio

So sorry to post late, but we're just getting home from a vacation.
My deepest condolences to you and your family. The loss of a tripawd family member is always hard. We become so involved with our new friends from the day they arrive. I hope the happy memories soon replace the pain you feel today.
RIP sweet Kali. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

THANK YOU to everyone! Every single one of your comments really has made an impact on me. My family and I really struggled this past week but reading all of your guys' comments made us think of all the happy memories we shared with Kali that we'll treasure forever. I still break down from time to time but we tried to stay busy and started reminiscing on all the fun times we had of her. It really helped me to share this with people close to me & to all of the tripawds community. I can't thank everyone enough on how awesome this community is. This was the place that I knew I would be able to connect and relate to everyone, to ask for advice or help & knew that everyone was always willing to listen and care. I am slowly replacing my tormenting "what if" questions to the ones that matter that you all suggested. It's true, it really was a blessing to have her in our lives even if it was a short period of it. 11 years is the average life span of a rottie but it seemed like it just went by so fast...
Again, thank you everyone from the bottom of me & my family's hearts
(I can now imagine Kali running with all of her legs & pain free with all the other dogs that were lost along the way.. I bet they're all having a party up there with all the food, treats, and running space that their hearts desire)
Forget what, and tell if to take a hike!
Kali was blessed to have you too.

I've been away from the board for much too long but wanted to offer you my heartfelt condolences......I lost my oldest golden girl on June 2. While she had all 4 limbs, she had an awful life before coming into rescue 3 years ago and overcame so many obstacles. She was a miracle girl in every sense of the word, but her poor little body was just worn out from years of neglect. Like you, I've done my best to fight off the "woulda/shoulda/coulda" thoughts and realize that I did all I could for her.
Frankie has found ways to let me know she's happy and whole again...and that she's with my other BridgeKids at Rainbow Bridge. I pray that Kali will find a way of letting you know she's okay as well. Sometiimes I think that our grief right after their passing is so raw that we miss these little messages and signs but I know they're there.
To you, I wish peace in the knowledge that you did all you could. And to Kali, I wish Godspeed. Run fast, play hard....see you on the Other Side.
