I didn't want anyone to miss this. I've copied Glenn's post from another topic this morning. I extend my deepest condolences to Glenn and his family. Millie will forever live in our hearts.
Millie – Journey's End.
Millie’s battle with osteosarcoma has ended today. The last few days she has become weaker and weaker and her mobility has all but gone. She has also given up on food and to watch her was unbearably sad and heartbreaking. We could have carried on until nature took its’ course but it was Millie who had to come first and to have kept her alive with an ever diminishing quality of life was totally unfair to a dog who was active and fun loving. It is nearly 8 months since her first clinical signs and 5 months since her operation. It is a privilege to have been her nurse, her chef, her carer and her carrier. These last few months have been so special and I can be thankful that at least we have had this extra time together of which i have treasured every moment. From her first post op poop, to running in the snow on 3 legs, running away from me on the beach, chasing pigeons and throwing rubber chickens round the garden.
Can I thank the world of Tripawds for all your support during the last 5 months. You are all truly amazing for the work you do. I will try, in time, transfer my journal to blog format.
In the meantime, I have Sid to look after as we have to adjust to life without Millie.

I know the following days, weeks and months are going to be very painful. It's an emptiness that can be unbearable at times. So, please know you have us to lean on if you need it.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
I'm sorry to hear about Millie's passing. Take comfort in the fact that you enjoyed her life while she was with you.
Our thoughts are with you.
Zack, King of Dogs, 1996 to 2010
Zack lived a full 14 years, even to the end.
The joy and memories he provided us will last a lifetime.
Surviving him is his sister, Izzy, a 12-year-old boxer mix quadpawd.
And the latest addition, Zula, an 11-month-old pit bull mix tripawd.
