What a beautiful & heartwarming telling of your life with Mika.
Thoughts and prayers for your family as you deal with this loss.
Zack, King of Dogs, 1996 to 2010
Zack lived a full 14 years, even to the end.
The joy and memories he provided us will last a lifetime.
Surviving him is his sister, Izzy, a 12-year-old boxer mix quadpawd.
And the latest addition, Zula, an 11-month-old pit bull mix tripawd.
What a beautiful and heart warming story of your family. Mika sounds like a special dog and your story made me laugh (her size & eye bags) and cry (everything else). Please know that your family is in my thoughts and prayers, especially your precious little girls.
Debra
Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
Mari,
I am so sorry to hear of Mika's passing. She was truly a special special girl. And yes, you're first child.
Thank you for sharing Mika's story. I have no doubt that she walks with your Mother, and no doubt, both of them are watching over you, your husband and children.
The cancer... the losses...it's never fair. Not even close. My heart goes out to you and your family.
hugs,
Denise

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
I'm so sad to hear about the recent loss of your mother and of Mika... but what a beautiful story you told of them. I know that they are both in heaven together, keeping each other company and looking over your family.
You are in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
Angel Jake and Wolfie's Mom
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
I'm so so sorry to hear about your loss . There are several of us who just recently lost our pups and as I read your story, it brought tears to my eyes. Like Mika, Mackenzie was my first child too. Your story is so beautiful and I imagine your mother and Mika are together now looking down at you and letting you know they're ok. I loved the passage from Dog Heaven - oh how I hope that it's true - wouldn't that be so wonderful to know that our babies are checking in on us.....thanks for sharing your story. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
Kami, Angel Mackenzie and Kobe
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
So sorry to hear about Mika. My heart aches for you. I do love that Dog Heaven book!
You are in my thoughts and prayers.
