Dear John, Di, and Linda: We're so sorry it was Max's time to go. We loved his proud, sweet face---those eyes! I think one of the first pictures I saw of him was his official pet portrait. It was so beautiful. I called the whole family over to see it! And we loved the picture of him eating his birthday (ampuversary?) hotdog. We're on the other side of the country from all of you, but we could tell Max was a happy, well-loved dog. Something in his eyes just seemed to say, "I've got the life."
Everything you've written about Max's last day is so moving and thoughtful. You've shown such kindness, courage, and compassion.
Run free sweet Max! Love to you and a special hug to Linda,
Eve, Romeo, and family
Dear Max's family, I am so sorry for your loss. Your final decision was taken with deep love and sincere compassion. Max is a hero in my heart but you guys are a great inspiration to me too. Thank's for sharing Max's story with us. He will be in our hearts forever.

We are so sorry for your loss. Max was such a special dog and the fact that you had him for 14 months after his diagnosis must feel like you were given a wonderful gift and blessing. I cry every time I hear that a new tripawd hero leaves this world but it's also comforting to know that they leave us surrounded by so much love, which obviously Max had. You are amazing pawrents and take comfort in knowing that Max knows that too. Our deepest condolences.
Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
I'm so sorry for your loss. Our hearts are with you through this tough time. Max was a wonderful dog, and he had a wonderful family to help him find such happiness in life. You've been an inspiration to us as we're starting down this road... helping to teach us to take it one day at a time and enjoy each moment.
We'll keep you close to our hearts.
Holly and Holly's mom
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!
