It is with a heavy heart that our Maggie has passed on September 4th. Her seizures intense in frequency and duration. She has been living the dream for the last 7 years. She went peacefully with both Nancy and I by her side. I would like to thank this site and all of the members for their support and wisdom in taking on a tri paw. And I will continue to promote Tripawds in our community.
Dave
Hello,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Maggie looked like a wonderful dog and a real trooper. I know she knows how much you loved her and everything you did for her. My thoughts are with you during this difficult time.
I am a newcomer to Tripawds with my dog/s amputation being 7/1/24. I agree with you that the help and support this site provides is so important. Since being on this site I have felt joy reading all the stories of the tripawds who have thrived after amputation and of course felt heartbreak when they can no longer fight on. However, I know that behind every heartbreaking story is a tale of pure love given to the pet and received from the pet. I never met Maggie and yet your story touched my heart and I will remember her too.
Dave and Nancy.we are all so very, very sorry to hear thos sad news. Maggie has been in our tripawd family for so long and we are so privileged to get to know her..
Maggie could not have been more loved and certainly got to experience more joy and happiness than most dogs ever experience.
We know the void is unbearable right now. We also know Maggie loved a life of meaning and purpose. She showed the world Tripawds can live full happy lives and she inspired everyone she met.
Amy, who is a new member here, said it so well....

Ohhhh I'm so very sorry to see this! My heart goes out to you and your family Dave. You guys did so much to give her a fantastic life, and stood by her side every second, always advocating for her needs and when the time came, putting your grief on hold so that she could transition with dignity. Thank you for being so amazing to her, and such a great advocate for this community. We will miss her dearly and always keep her legacy alive by sharing her story of resilience and love.
Run free Maggie, go play with Brownie and all your furiends at the Bridge, and some day we will get to see you again.
Hi Dave and Nancy,
I have been a little MIA lately just trying to get this life thing figured out.
I saw your post on Facebook and was shocked and so sad to hear. I remember the day we all met at the park and Maggie and Brownie got along right away. Well, until Brownie got too close to take a sniff. Lol. I still have the video
I know it's so hard to say goodbye but somehow we do get through it. I know in my heat Brownie was there at the gate to welcome Maggie home❤️
Our thoughts and prayers are with the both of you.
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!
