I had this custom carved decoy urn made by a talented local decoy maker. She is placed next to my Golden who crossed over when she was a year old. Same carver as well. It took me a week to gain the courage to open her box. With the help of the carver and Coco is in her permenant resting spot.
Wow, that is breathtaking. What a perfect, beautiful tribute to a beautiful, unforgettable girl. That photo captures her essence.
I'm so sorry about your other pup who passed. At one year old? Ugh! You've been through a lot of heartache, I'm so sorry.
Thank you for sharing. I know what you mean about finding the courage to open the box of cremains. It took me forever to do the same for Jerry and Wyatt, when we wanted to spread their ashes. When I did open their boxes, on each occasion it took my breath away just to stop and think about how the essence of who they were went way beyond the physical nature of their bodies, and what remained. It leaves one in awe of the spirit of a loved one, doesn't it?
Coco's spirit is strong, and always will be. She was a once-in-a-lifetime dog.
((((hugs)))))
Absolutely exquisite tribute to your beloved Coco (and Maverick too) The craftsmanship, the dedication and devotion to each detail speaks to the love and devotion and dedication you have for your sweet Coco. Even some of the colors of this beautiful "duck" reflect the coloring of Coco's beautiful fur.
I love what Jerry said:

Also, want to share something that I think will resonate with you.
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Thank you for sharing. That does resonate with me and is so very true. I think about a lost loved one every day. Maverick and I had a bond, but Coco and I had a very special bond she was that special one in a lifetime dog. Every pet I have had over the years has taken a piece of my heart of with them and they will live with me forever.
Something told me to log on today but did not expect to see this. I am so sorry about CoCo. You both were blessed to have each other.
I can tell you when she got to the bridge at the gate she was greeted by Jerry and Wyatt. She checked in with Happy Hanah. Brownie gave her a big welcome cookie. She took a nap with Pug Maggie and when she woke up she played ball with Nitro and Sweet Mitchell.
And when you close your eyes and think with your heart you will always be together,❤️
My Beautiful Beloved Brownie was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on February 26, 2019. With all odds against him he lived an additional one year and eight days with amputation, love, and prayer. I was honored to be his mom, and I have never been so proud! He will live forever in my Heart!
