I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I hope you and Jersey May's other Dad find comfort in knowing that you shared some wonderful times with Jersey May and were the best pawrents she could have ever had.
Nancy and James the poodle
James the poodle had his left front leg amputated due to osteosarcoma on Aug. 4, 2010. He is currently doing chemo.
Oh Jon,
I'm just so very, very sorry.
It's so very hard to give up something so precious as Jersey May. Love is so powerful, it is almost impossible to let go of. You know deep in your heart, it is what she wanted and you did it for her. I am sure she is smiling on you and your family right now and hoping your sadness will turn to smiles and laughter soon.
When your heart stops hurting as much, you come over here anytime and tell us all about the life stories of Jersey May that we missed! I'm pretty sure you guys had some great stories to tell!
Warm hugs to you,
Comet's mom
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Oh Jon,
I'm so saddened to hear the news about Jersey May. My heart is breaking for you and your family. Please take comfort in knowing that Jersey May is still with you and will always be forever in your heart. I'm sure she's looking down at you now letting you know that she's ok. And you can bet that she'll be watching over you to make sure that you'll be ok too. Here's to Jersey May - a true inspirawation and one of our very brave and courageous tripawd heroes. Wishing you much peace and comfort during this difficult time.
My deepest condolences,
Kami (Mackenzie & Kobe's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Jon and Mr. Red,
From those of us that have gone before you...it does hurt like hell...no way around it. I think our Tripawd pups are very special and because of what we go through with them the pain is very great when we lose them. Please be aware that our hearts are saddened that Jersey May is gone. She knows how much she was loved by you and in the end that is all that matters.
Take good care,
Ginny, Addy & Angel Paris
Grateful for every moment we had with Paris…..no regrets!
Honoring her life by opening our hearts & home to Addy!
Thank You everyone for being there with your kind words. It is great knowiong that you are all here to support those in need of some warmth. I am proud to have my shirts with Jersey Mays name on them from Chloe's mom. I would like to send a very special Thank You to her and Tripawd.com for making it possible.
Jon ,Mr.Red and Angle Jersey May(aka Pea Pie)
My Sweet Jersey May. Lost her back left leg in 2001 at 1 year old. diagnosed with osteosarcoma in the remaining right rear leg May 2010 Left our world September 2010.
We miss you Pea Pie
Jon, My heart is so heavy over Jersey May's passing. I fell for her with that first blog post and I loved the Birthday cake you made with such caring love. The pain of this kind of loss can be excruciating at times but that will change with time. You see, I just lost my sweet angel 24 days ago. I'm sending you all the pawsitive energy I can. And like Jersey May, my girl wasn't a good candidate for amputation either. It all happens so fast.
You and Jersey May were the first thought that came into my mind yesterday and you remain in my thoughts. I've been lurking on this wonderful site since the end of July and I've been wanting to join......Jersey May made me do it!
Take care Jon and be gentle and good to yourself. My deepest condolences to your entire pack. Anita and angel Spammy
I read your post this morning at work and had to wait until now to reply. I had tears running down my face at work and had to put it away for a little while. I am so sorry that your friend is gone. You did everything you could for her and your love is obvious to everyone. I hope that gives you comfort in the hard moments to come. Your final gift was probably the hardest to give but it shows how much you loved her, to keep her from suffering.
Dad, Sammy and I will be including you all in our prayers tonight, may you find some peace soon.

I couldn't begin to say how special Sammy is to us. Living and laughing with and loving this wonderful boy is priceless.
I am proud to have my shirts with Jersey Mays name on them from Chloe's mom. I would like to send a very special Thank You to her and Tripawd.com for making it possible.
I am so glad that Chloe, the admins and I could help give you this gift to help honor and remember Jersey May The whole reason I started the shirt was to honor our first dog Bonnie who ended up losing her battle to lymphoma many years ago, celebrate Chloe's recovery (our second dog diagnosed with cancer), and for all the other dogs related to this site who have been affected by cancer. It brings me great pleasure to know that we have helped touch and positively impact the lives of others with my Tripawd Shirt project.
I hope that with each passing day you think a little more about all the good things Jersey May has done to add to your life (to help take away the excruciating pain) and a little bit less about the fact that her physical body is no longer with you. It will be a long road, but we will always here for you.
-Chloe's mom
Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
Oh Jon, I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Our lives change so much when we have to say goodbye to those we love. Some day the memories will make you smile instead of cry. In the meantime, know that you gave your girl a great gift by easing her pain while she was here, and by releasing her of her pain when it was time. Warm thoughts and prayers heading your way. We're always here for you.

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

We're so sorry you lost your girl. What a very sweet name - Jersey May. You said it - cancer is an awful beast. We only have a few more days with our girl Honey and like you, we can't image life without her. Your last gift to her was the hardest - that's pure love.
Dx Osteosarcoma 3/31/10. Amputation 7/21/10. Honey put up a valiant fight and lost her battle 9/22/10. Missing her and treasuring 9 years with our Honeygurl.

Those beautiful memories will one day bring you peace.
