I am so, so sorry to read this. I've been following your blog, like so many others have. You tried so hard and gave him such a wonderful life before he went.
I can't believe the foster had the gall to call you after all of this. I hope you pursue whatever you can against them...their intentions may be good (I sincerely hope so at least) but if they can't care for the dogs they take in...they're hurting dogs and hurting people like you.
I'm so sorry again. In the end, it sounds like you made all the right decisions for Ivan, it's just his past was too much for even him to handle. I'm so thankful he had you at the end.
Jack - adopted with a crooked leg at 4 months old, managed for six years, and now much-happier Tripawd as of 5/24/2012!
Oh F*#&% ! Im so sorry!!!
Fly Free Ivan Fly Free! You were a beautiful Boy and at least you knew what it was to be loved (no matter how briefly) before you got your wings.
Huge Hugs to you, our thoughts are with you and we are all here if you need us and ever want to talk. Take care of yourself.
Sarah
So sorry to hear about Ivan. He was lucky to have you, even in the short time you were together.
-Chloe's mom
Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog
I was so sad to see this.
He was a very sick boy and sadly that can change so many things. But for those few days, he knew love and that is something that you should be happy about.
I know the heartache is still hard even if the time was short and for that I am so sorry for your loss in Ivan.
He is happy now and looking down with a smile. I just know it.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
