This is a very hard time for you. I hope you find peace soon.

You've had a very difficult time these past weeks. I am so sorry that you lost Oscar so suddenly. It will take time for Bo to grieve, too. Heap the love on Bo - he needs you - and you'll need him.
Thank you for letting us know how you're doing.

"Going Dog" def: living every day in the moment
"It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are."

Oh. This is so hard. I think when it's a sudden death you are in a shock at first. You have so much to consume at once. The 'what if' and the 'if I only knew' is terrible. That's how it's always been for me.
I can only offer you sincere and heartfelt wishes for the whole family.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Thanks for the update. The Tripawds community is always here for you. Jerry always hated it when we were ever sad or upset. Remembering this helped us cope with missing him so much after we released him from his broken body. Oscar would undoubtedly want you to be strong.

We're so sorry, it's hard not to feel anger and sadness and emotional turmoil at a time like this. Eventually it will be easier to accept but for now, give yourself time to process what happened. Your feelings are natural, and to be expected.
Your vet sounds wonderful. If there is anything to be thankful for with all of this sadness, is that your vet and their team is so compassionate. We've heard of many pawrents who don't have such great experiences at a time like this. I know that it can't bring Oscar back, but at least you know your vet's office is in tune with the sadness you are feeling right now.
Much love coming your way, we are so very sorry.
