Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
I am so sorry for your loss Daniela. I guess I should jump over and post on Don's blog. As all those who have gone before, Don is a warrior, a hero. He will live in the hearts of tripawd pawrents forever.
RIP sweet Don. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Daniela, we are so sorry for your loss. Don was a trooper and you gave him the best life he could ask for.
Remember him with the love and fun that he gave to you.

Chuy, showing everyone that Tripawds do everything 3 times better than regular dogs!
Daniela,
I've been reading your previous posts and was very sad to hear about losing Don. You went through so much and did everything possible. He's no longer in pain and running free now. You are a great tripawd mom and it's obvious how much love you had for him. I'm sure he's looking down at you now smiling...letting you know that he's ok. All the best to you. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
thank you all for your kind words and thoughts. It means a lot in this difficult time. It has been only 3 days he is gone and I just cant get used to the fact that there is no one I need to take out in the morning before work, feed, take care he takes his medicine in time....it still feels like it will take forever for heart to heal, but I am sure all of you who lost your loved ones felt the same. My mum is completely devastated too,as she actually really spent all the time with him, while I was studying, working, on holiday....
I am aware thought that he is in better place now, without pain, and thats most important now.
Just because he isn't there physically, doesn't mean he's not there at all! He will always be a part of your life, a part of who you are. I think of dogs that have passed on as being in "invisible form"...we can't see them, but they're still right next to us. Maybe try talking to Don, letting him know that you still love him and thank him for being a part of your life. It may seem silly, but talking things out really seems to help me 🙂 You may not get an answer right away, but rest assured, Don will be there listening to every word.

Daniela, we know it's so hard. Try to be patient and give yourself time to feel that loss, it's OK. Don't expect too much so soon afterward. Grief works itself out in many different ways. But listen carefully and you'll hear signs that Don is indeed around. Keep your eyes open for weird coincidences that will remind you of him. And leave your heart open for love and friendship to fill it. Losing a best friend takes time to recover from, but it is never hopeless and there are always signs that our loved ones are still with us.
If there's anything that we can learn from our dogs, it is that life is meant to be lived every day to the fullest, even while our hearts are mending.
