We have a secret, you and I
that no one else shall know,
for who but I can see you lie
each night in the fire glow?
And who but I can reach my hand
before we go to bed
and feel the living warmth of you
and touch your silken head?
And only I walk woodland paths
and see ahead of me
Your small form racing with the wind
so young again and free.
And only I can see you swim
in every brook I pass
and when I call, no one but I
can see the bending grass.
Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Always in my heart, and always a guardian angel of my pack... You can follow his Tripawd Adventures, before and after, in my blog, Frank'n'Farter!
Loved the video!!!! Sending you lots of love and fur-ever hugs today. I know it's a hard day but what a life Franklin led... he was so loved and he knew it. And he loved you so much. You can see it in his eyes... totally madly in love with you!
I wish there was something else I could say but I've got nothing. But I will hold you in my heart.
I loved your poem today. Beautiful. He is, of course, always with you ... every. single. day.
A&S fur-ever in her heart

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Chris,
Loved this poem too. The video was great. Jazz & Snickers started barking when they heard Maggie. . Franklin was great.

Oh Christine, you are both in our hearts and thoughts always but especially tonight.
What a beautiful video to celebrate a one-of-a-kind hero. Franklin had a sparkle in his eyes that really showed the joyful life you gave him. I loved seeing him, thanks for sharing.
