On Monday, we said goodbye to Farley
His seizures were getting more frequent and left him weaker, lost and confused. He'd lost his left visual field (probably due to a met in his right occipital lobe which was causing the seizures??) and was falling frequently
He no longer wanted to go on walks; no more doggie smiles or tail wags
With the surgery and chemo (plus the Yale vaccine), I was hoping for a year or more (his surgery was in September); we did get an extra month with prednisone
Thank you to forum members for their support as we navigated this difficult time (BTW, I never got any reimbursement for my writeup and video of our PT appointment)

My dear, dear Christine. This breaks my heart. We are all so very, very sorry this happy Warrior had to head to The Rainbow Bridge. Our tears fall with yours.
You and Farley gave 110%, not just in your fight against this dreaded disease, but in the commitment of both of you to make every momemt count!! Farley, never let being on three hold him back from living fully.
I'm coming back later, but right now I'm going to PM you my email so you can send me the pics of Farley and I'll get them posted for you, okay?
With love
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
These photos are such a beautiful tribute to Farley.
They show him happily prsenting his "prize" to be photographed.
They show him standing so proudly in the field as he surveys his kindgom. Enjoying the Nature he so loved. Such a stunningly handsome boy.
This one....this is so poignant. Christine labeled it "Goodbye" I see Farley turning to his hoomans in all his wet, muddy dog glory as he heads free and Happy to the Rainbow Bridge. See the bridge in the background? He knows he'll meet his hooman family again, greeting them on all four gentley holding a bird in his mouth to greet them (birds are not harmed at The Bridge😉)

Christine,
I'm so sad to see this, please accept our condolences. Farley always made us smile, and was such a rock star on three legs. You both did exactly what we all hope for when a member joins. You made the most of a crappy situation, explored new avenues of fun, and made every second count. I hope this leaves you with some comfort, knowing that you were an amazing mom to him through thick and thin, until his last breath.
Thank you for sharing the photos Sally, sorry I couldn't get to them sooner Chris. Also, we don't have a record of your rehab reimbursement application. I'll send you a PM about that.
Many hugs coming your way.

I told Christine that the last photo pf Farley and the " Brodge" gave me chills. I so love the "message" he communicated in it to all of us, especially his beloved Christine♥️
.The days, weeks and months ahead wont be easy. The bond you and Farley already had even developed deeper once he became a tripawd. The void, the loss of daily routine and then past weeks of exquisite care.......yeah, very hard time.
P.ease know this. What you and Farley accomplished as a tripawd. (and before) will inspire newbies to know what's possible. Farley will forever be a CHAMPION here. Farley will continue to touch hearts and give hope.
Thank you for the privilege of getting to know this remarkable Warrior. As much as our hearts break for you and with you, I still smile when I think about how Farley found joy is just being able to be Farley on three. Nothing held him back.
Surrounding you with Farley's wagging tail and Happy smile

I'm sorry to read this tonight. My condolences to you and your family.
You gave Farley everything a dog could ever want, every day he had with you was his very best day. The special ones stay close. Farley will live on in your heart and so will always be by your side.

I’m seeing this rather late, but wanted to send you care and sympathy for you loss.
Farley was such an amazing boy and the care you gave him was so good. It’s awful that there are just no garauntees in all this and cancer is such a fiend. Sending him kisses and scritches as he’s now at peace across the rainbow bridge, and sending care and hugs to you as you miss him.
