It is with deep sadness I say that my sweet 6 year old lab, Brady, has gone to be an angel. He died last night just a few hours after his amputation surgery. From the symptoms, we believe he had a clot go to his lungs. I was with him when he died and for that I am thankful. I want to express my appreciation to everyone here for you support and words of wisdom while I was making the decision what to do for my beloved dog. He had osteosarcoma and his bone was about gone and the pain must have been great for him. I will miss him dearly.
Oh I am soooo sorry to read this Hugs to you for loosing your boy..

we are so very sorry to hear of brady's passing. what a terrible shock for you, to think you were ending the pain, only to lose him so quickly. hopefully your happy memories will eventually help dry some of the tears. love never ends.

Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.

I'm so sorry for your loss. This disease is hard enough to deal with, but it is so unfair that you lost him while trying to help him. He is running pain free now with the other tripawd heroes that went before him.
I hope you will soon be able to remember him with more smiles than tears.
Sending virtual hugs and healing Abby kisses,

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. This is so heartbreaking I am so sorry that your beloved boy is gone.
Now you will need to trust time to soften the pain and allow the wonderful memories that you made with Brady to warm your heart and eventually bring back some smiles.

I am so sorry for your loss, my heart aches for you. As others have said, you did the right thing for him. He is and always will be your Angel watching over you. Remember the good times and know that he knew you loved him very much. Take care of yourself, give yourself the time to grieve and remember, that eventually, he wants to see you smile again.

Life is not measured by the breaths you take, but by the moments that take your breath away.

OH NO! How utterly awful! I'm just so sorry that Brady didn't make it. How incredibly heart-wrenching. This is just so terrible.
Please find peace with the fact Brady was being held and touched by you when it happened. I had a dog throw a clot 24 hours after a surgery and I was in a waiting room waiting at the vet's to pick her up when it happened. I wasn't at peace knowing I could have come just 5 minutes earlier and would have had her in my arms.
Most importantly just remember the surgery was necessary and never regret that for a second.
Angel dogs live in our hearts forever, just like Brady will. We use their memories to remember love, life and laughter. They help us move forward in our darkest days. May Angel Brady bring you happiness during your dark days.
My deepest condolences.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
