Today GiGi lost her 10 month battle and peacefully passed over the Rainbow Bridge. She never had lung mets but, apparently she had spine mets that suddenly disabled her rear legs. She had been getting a little less strong in her rear legs for about 2 weeks, then suddenly.
She will be waiting for us and we will see her again.
Rest in Peace Girl
I'm so sorry to hear of your loss
My thoughts are with you
Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. So sorry to read of your loss. She will always be with you in your heart.
She is running pain free now.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. I am so sorry for your loss. Think of all the good days you had with Gigi and that will give you strength. Its hard saying goodbye but one day you will meet again. Gigi is running free in the fields and looking down on you and thanking you for all the love and support you gave her through the years. You are in my thoughts.

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. It seems like no matter how little or how much time one has, there's never enough time to prepare you for saying goodbye.
May GiGi run on the beach forever and ever, chasing the waves and splashing in the sea. I hope these kinds of memories you shared can ease the pain of saying goodbye.
We are sending our deepest condolences to you and your pack.

We are thinking of you today. We had a similar experience with spine mets (plus lung mets) so I know how rapidly it probably feels like it happened. I'm glad that she's at peace now. Remember all the wonderful times with your sweet girl.
K, an 8 year old chocolate lab, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the radius and ulna on 12/23/11. She had stereotactic radiation to kill the bone tumors, and 3 rounds of carboplatin. On 3/16/12, lung mets were found. We tried several different kinds of chemotherapy to slow the lung mets but none worked. Finally, mets appeared at other sites, including her spine. She earned her angel wings on July 15, 2012. K changed my life, and I'll never forget her. Our/my journey is chronicled at romp-roll-rockies.blogspot.com.
I am so sorry that you lost GiGi yesterday, and I know lonely your house must have felt today. After months of care and worry, the loss is overwhelming. Please know that all of us here are sending positive and healing thoughts your way. May your memories of your beautiful girl comfort you.

Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.
We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.
So sorry for your loss. Spine mets are bad. Run free Gigi.
