Oh, How terrible! I know that this is so shocking to you and your family. How lucky you are to have shared your life with such an extraordinary Dog! So sorry for your loss and praying for comfort for you and your family as you try to keep on going without your beautiful Hunter. Thank goodness for wonderful memories that can help us get through tragic times like this. Sending love and healing prayers.
I'm so sorry for this tragedy. The shock has to be so difficult. Hunter sounds like a wonderful, wonderful dog and I know you'll be comforted by your many happy memories.

TATE ~ Forever in our hearts.
What more can I add to what everyone else has said? You lost your "heart dog," and those are the ones who are burned into our souls. I am so sorry that you and she had to endure this. We do get so wrapped up in the cancer mindset that we can't imagine that something else might take our friends from us. It is a tragedy, but you know Hunter just had a perfect bill of health, which is worth so much.
I am so grateful that you were able to make the call to give that final gift to Hunter, as hard as it was. I'm so grateful that you found each other and experienced that once-in-a-lifetime love with your heart dog.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this! Hunter was such an amazing girl! She was doing great with her stomping on cancer! Just a freak accident - so, so sorry for your loss.
Her story of protecting your husband is the stuff legends are made of. You had a legendary girl for sure!!
Sending much love and huggs

I am just so sorry you lost Hunter - I know how painful this must be to lose her so suddenly.....
I hope your precious girl is running free along with Riley and the rest of the tripawd pack in a beautiful place filled with squirrels, tennis balls and stuffed animals.....
Sending hugs -
I am so sorry to hear of your loss of Hunter. She sounds like a wonderful girl and I know she will be missed even as her life is celebrated.

Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
I lost my tri-pug Maggie to something other than the cancer that caused her amputation, but I had time to prepare. What a shock for your family, I am so sorry Hunter's journey ended so suddenly.
I hope the coming weeks and months bring a few smiles through the tears as you remember how much Hunter brought to your lives.
