It breaks my heart to write this but Crystal went to the vet today after days of off and on crying. An x-ray showed that the cancer spread to her heart and that she was suffering. Because of the long weekend we didn't want to wait until Tuesday and have her in pain anymore so she left us peacefully this afternoon. The house feels so empty without her and I half expect her to be sleeping in her bed but it's comforting to know that she had a great 13 1/2 years with us. Although these past few months had a lot of ups and downs I am so grateful for the extra time with her. We love her so much and already miss her greatly.
we're so sorry that crystal lost her battle. even though she lived a long life, it never seems to be long enough for those who are left behind. you gave her a final, selfless gift by releasing her from her broken body. we hope time will help ease the pain and sadness you now feel. love never ends.

Life is good, so very, very good!!! Gayle enjoyed each and every moment of each and every wonderful day (naps included). She left this world December 12, 2011 – off on a new adventure.
Love Never Ends
I am so, so sorry to hear this. Crystal was a beautiful and very brave girl and my heart just goes out to you at this difficult time. Please know that our thoughts are with you.

Zeus was a Husky mix diagnosed with Osteosarcoma at age 11. A visible lung met and suspicious spot on his liver meant a poor prognosis-six weeks was our vet's best guess. We decided to fight for our boy and his right front leg was amputated on 12/1/11. We did six rounds of chemo, changed his diet and spoiled him completely rotten. We were blessed with 10 great months after diagnosis. Against the odds, the lung met remained a single met and grew very little over those months. A wonderful furbaby with the most gentle spirit, he fought with a strength that we never imagined he possessed. We have no regrets...

We are so, so sorry to hear this sad news. It's never easy to say goodbye, even when you've had such a long time together. We all hope that day never comes and when it does, it just hurts. so. much.
What a brave girl Crystal was, and you too for giving her the final gift of freeing her spirit. May it continue to guide you and remind you of all of the gifts she gave.

I am so sorry to hear about Crystal. She had a lovely long life with you, but I know how hard it is to let go. Though the house seems empty, I am sure your heart is full of happy shared memories. I hope you those memories give you strength to get you through the pain of loss.

Smilin' Sammy, March 16, 2004 – Dec. 5, 2011
Golden retriever, diagnosed with osteosarcoma in September 2010 — right front leg amputated November 2010. He fought valiantly to stay with us; but a second diagnosis of osteosarcoma, this time in his left front leg, was more than our golden warrior could overcome. He loved his pack — and everyone else he met.
We loved him even more.
Thanks for the pennies, Sammy. They helped.
Oh no! I am just so very, very sorry that Crystal has lost her battle. She was such a wonderful spirit and beautiful girl.
As bad as it feels now, try to remember the wonderful memories so that they may ease your pain. There is nothing so painful as to lose someone we love that filled our lives with so much joy. We all mourn for your loss in Crystal.
My deepest condolences.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
I'm so sorry to see that Crystal has passed. There is never enough time with our pups, but I'm glad you had this special time with her. We know what you are going through and are here if you want to talk about her some more. We'd love to hear more about your beautiful girl if/when you feel up to it.
Hang in there. She will always be with you in your heart.

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Crystal truly was a beautiful girl. You gave her all the love you could and took such good care of her. As hard as this was, it was the only choice. You could not let her continue with that pain. Thank you for helping Crystal find her wings. In the days to come, if you are up to it, I would love to see more pictures of your beautiful girl.

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.

Oh - I'm so sorry to hear about Crystal's passing. She was such a brave girl and 13 1/2 was a wonderful age for her breed.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. No matter how much time we have it is never enough. Sending you many hugs.
Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Magnum's motto - "Dream as if you'll live for ever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean). Loyal, loving, courageous and spirited to the end. My beloved heart dog, see her memoirs from Rainbow Bridge ...... http://princess.....pawds.com/
We are sorry Crystal is gone. Wishing you peaceful memories
