I'd like to extend our gratitude for all the insight and support from the Tripawds community for our dog Cabo. Although we did not amputate her leg the support was amazing. Cabo crossed the Rainbow Bridge on June 20th after breaking her leg that was afflicted with her tumor, there was nothing to do to control the pain or fix the break. Here is her tribute, we miss her dearly: http://www.fait.....aries/Cabo
What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful girl. We're so sorry for your loss of Cabo. Our dates were pretty much the same with Zato, except we did amputation in June after radiation treatments in November. I know how much the extra months from the palliative radiation meant to you. It was so good to see Zato get the use of his leg back for those months.
We wish you peace and comfort during this very difficult time.

Zato was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in October 2016. He triumphed through radiation and amputation with dignity and grace. After living a life of love and happiness, Zato earned his angel wings on February 19, 2018. Read his story here.
That's a beautiful tribute to Cabo. She was obviously very loved! I love how she chose you to be her people I believe they choose us. I'm so very sorry for your loss.

Ake no mistake about it, CABO WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN HERE!!!! CABO WILL PROVIDE HOPE AND INSPIRATION for so many on this journey where amputation is not an option. CABO DEFIED THE ODDS!!
Because of Cabo's journey, she will give others extended quality time for more loving and spoiling. Cabo has shown us what courage and determination can do...as well as what the love and devotion of her amazing humans can do. Quite the team!
I must confess, I haven't hopped over to the tribute yet. I need to stop crying first....so I can go over there and cry some more!!! But I know they will be tears of celebration for a life well lived and well loved.
Stay connected. This part kf the journey is not easy. But my, oh my, what a life of meaning a d so full of purpose.

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Jenny, I'm really saddened to hear this news, my deepest condolences go out to you and the family. I'm so sorry.
Thanks for sharing the tribute. Cabo was such a happy girl who lived a dog's dream life with your pack! I love those photos, they show how loved and treasured she was to everyone in her world. She looked like a party animal, especially in the photo wearing the cap with ears. Too cute. I know you'll miss her spunk so much.
Setting our dogs free from their pain is the hardest thing we have to do, but Cabo knew you did it with love in your heart and that's all she cared about. Her spirit is free and joyful again and now she will light your way in this world wherever you go. She is never far from your heart.
Lots and lots of love coming your way from all of us.

Thank you all so much, it helps having a community that understands.
Sally, thank you for reminding me that Cabo's journey was never in vain...and that her journey was helpful to others when amputation is not an option. My husband and I were amazed at the benefit of the radiation and it allowed our girl to be her crazy, silly, ball obsessed Cabo until the end.
Hugs and love to you all
