Hi Everyone
Blue went to the Bridge Sunday night. He had been slowing down and not wanting to walk on his good leg. Well Sunday night he lost all the feeling in that leg and begin panting really hard he gave me the look. The Vet was closed, but my Vet meet me there and put him to rest. I will miss him more than I can even imagine. I'm at work so I can't write to much or I will start crying.

I'm so, so sorry to hear about Blue - the most difficult thing we have to do as pawrents is to "let go and let God". I hope you find some peace during this incredibly difficult period knowing that Blue is out of pain and running free with all his tripawd buddies. Until you meet again...
Grieve gently and in your own time/at your own pace. We're thinking of you and sending love and prayers your way.
Our deepest condolences

I am so sad to hear about Blue, he had such a sweet face. You were blessed with him for nine years and cared for him at the end with love & dignity.
The past few days has been rough for our little community, just another reminder to us all to make each day count!
Take care, gineej & Paris
Grateful for every moment we had with Paris…..no regrets!

Rest in Peace buddy Blue.
I hope you can find just a little comfort in knowing that by sharing Blue's story here, you are certain to help others in the future who face the same difficult decisions with their pups. Thank you.

Lorrie, our deepest sympathies. We are so so sorry.
You sound so strong, like you've had experience with saying goodbye before? Just curious.
What a ruff week this has been for all of us. Let us all try to take comfort in knowing that our pups are all running free together. Their spirits shall always shine.
Much love coming your way,

Thank you all so very much. Everyone here has been a big help, and yes I'm sure all our Furbabies are running and playing together. If you have any suggestions on how to help his littermate Duke, he is sad also. I have been babying him like no tomorrow. The past 4 months Blue has been sleeping in my room and Duke always slept on the LEATHER sofa Well now I wake up in the morning and find him next to my bed, I don't know if he is looking for Blue or just wants to be close or both.It breaks my heart. Anyway everyone have a good day. Thanks Again Lorrie
Hi Lorrie - Just like us - they have to grieve too...maybe even more so since they were together ALL THE TIME. Lots of love and attention always does help like you're doing...Does Duke like to be around other dogs? Maybe a dog park if you have one by you? Or cooridinate doggie play dates with friends/neighbors who have dogs? When the time is right for you and for Duke...another playmate is also an option - never to replace but to add. Rescue dogs (if you haven't experienced them) are wonderful, wonderful dogs. I have one (not Zeus) and he has brought so much to our lives.
Lots of love and prayers to you and Duke,
Heather
