Oh Lisa, I am so, so sorry. This is the last thing I expected to see tonight. You and Zeus opened your hearts to everyone and I thank you for that. His fight and perseverance has given me more strength and optimism than you can imagine. I think if I look at the heavens tonight I will see an especially bright star.
Harley is an 8 year old Golden Retriever. Amp surgery for an infiltrative lipoma canceled due to two masses in chest. A rescue, he found his forever home on 3/18/07 and left for his eternal home on 1/09/13. His story and medical history are at http://myharley.....pawds.com/
Lisa, I am so very sorry to hear that Zeus is gone. Zeus became a household name around here, he was one special pup and will be missed by so many. Thinking of you today as you grieve for Zeus. As for Zeus, I'm going to think of him catching up with Merlin over a huge pile of McD's fries. I'll miss you Zeus.

Scout: January 31, 2002 to November 7, 2011
Scout's diagnosis was "poorly differentiated sarcoma"; amputation 1/11/2011. Scout enjoyed 9 fantastic years on 4 legs and 9 glorious months on 3 legs. If love alone could have saved you…
Oh, Lisa. My heart is breaking for you and there are tears on my face.
Your and Zeus's voices were among the first to give me hope in the face of this horrible disease. I remember on the first night that I found this community, looking down at Sam and telling him that our goal is to be like Zeus, the beautiful, strong, fighting Zeus.
Please know that though he has crossed the bridge - his spirit is living large in the hearts and memories of so many of us.
Thank you for your generosity, your courage and the enduring love for Zeus that shined through in every post you wrote in support of us all.
I will say a little prayer tonight that your good boy is at peace, with friends, out of pain, and full of life in his next adventure.
hugs, and tears, from far away friends,
Andy and the Samdog.
Samdog was a 10 yr old Golden and retired SAR dog. We found a bone mass on 8/17/12, needle biopsy showed sarcoma 8/22/12, amputation on 8/23/12, post-amp biopsy confirmed osteosarcoma on 8/28/12. Sadly, we found lung mets on 11/27/12 and my Spirit Sam earned his wings on 12/2/12.
We didn't know where we were headed and we don't regret a single step along our path. It all happened too fast, but he left a legacy of love that we will always cherish. Good bye my heart.

I have been dreading the day when you would have to post this. I am so, so sorry that you have reached this point. You are right that Zeus won his battle...he was the embodiment of a tripawd warrior. He has been an inspiration to so many of us, and so have you. We all owe you so much for sharing your sweet boy with us and for giving everyone who arrives here hope in the face of terrible fear and sadness. I know that everyone in the Tripawds community mourns with you. Zeus will live on here forever.
We had a special snack of McD's fries today in honor of Zeus. We are thinking of you and sending you many hugs.

I was stunned when I read the news. Zeus is such an inspiration to all of us. We will honor his journey with McD fries (Daisy can't wait).
Our heart go out to you during this difficult time. The happy memories will overshadow the sadness you feel now. We know you by your example that "you live more dog".

Lisa,
I read about Zeus over on facebook and got the biggest tears going down my face. I had to come here to let you know that your love for him and his brother have been so present in your words, your kindness for others. He had the sweetest heart, I could tell from how it shined in his eyes. He was so so lucky to have had a life with you and he held onto it as long as he could. What an amazing boy, he did win.
Now, this may be an incredibly hard time for you but I want you to know that you did everything right for him and I hope that brings you some comfort. So so sorry
