Our wonderful hero neighbor Star has joined the starry fleet in the skies. After so many years of courageous, selfless service in the Israeli and US armies, and months of soldiering thru after amputation surgery, Star can now run freely.
Memories seem just like sad stories

It is a dark shadow fallen over our hearts.
But there is a bright star.

Star really was and still is a hero. His memory will live on forever. My heart goes out to those who helped him through his last few difficult months; but at least he is now free from pain.

We are so sad to hear that Star is no longer with us. We send our love across the ocean to Gil, and hope that he finds comfort in all of the incredible times they spent together. Many, many hugs...

Our thoughts and prayers are with Gil. Ironically, he and Star were just up on the top photos when I signed on this evening... and I thought... what a loving picture. We will be thinking of you both when we look up into the night sky this evening and remember all of our tripawd friends when we say our prayers. Jerry and Lalla are taking extra good care of Star I'm sure!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you Gil during this very difficult time - I hope knowing that Star was such a hero in life will bring you some comfort. It's nice knowing down here that he is a Star in the sky watching over all our tripawds until one day they all meet...
Much love,

Please express our sympathy to Gil during this time. Star was a brave and heroic dog. He should be honored as any soldier should. I did read about how Gil raised money for his treatment on his own. His pictures with his medals around his neck were beautiful and a true testament to his bravery. Lalla, please convey our sympathy on our behalf. Rest in peace, brave soldier, your final fight as ended with true honor.
