I found this quote and want to share it with so many others that have lost our babies way to early. To those of you that still have your babies hug them for me. For some reason this is giving me comfort.
'
It came to me that every time I lose a dog they take a piece of my heart with them. And every new dog who comes into my life, gifts me with a piece of their heart. If I live long enough, all the components of my heart will be dog, and I will become as generous and loving as they are.'

Debra & Angel Emily,
What a beautiful tribute, thank you!

This is a beautiful tribute indeed. I'm sure others who have lost their heart dogs will agree, so I've moved it here to the Coping with Loss forum. Thank you for sharing.

Debra and Angel Amily,
I loved this quote!! I put it on my Facebook comment... Only a few real animal lover friends responded to it. But I don't care! It's beautiful and exactly how I... and everyone else here feels!!!!
I would be honored to receive one of Emily's trading cards!!! One of these days, when I'm more up to it... I will make one for Jake too... I'll PM you my mailing address...
