I just looked at the Youtube search and saw those race cars, too, but right above them is the Murphy the Three Legged Dog channel. You just have to click on the blue thing (icon?).

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!

Here is Murphy's first day out in the snow since before his amp last year. Usually he goes out, does his business and wants right back in. Not today. He goes out, does his business and just runs around the yard. So much fun!

We have been among the missing for the past couple of months, although I've tried to keep up with what is going on and who the new posters are. Something about surgery and DRUGS might have an effect. I can certainly empathize with our three legged friends after being on the good stuff for a while!
At any rate, while I was down, Murphy passed the one year anniversary of his total hip replacement. The weather being what it's been here for the past couple of weeks meant that he hasn't gone back to see his doctor for the checkup, but we will get to that within the expected time. I guess having the checkup exactly on the date doesn't have to happen.

Oh my gosh Kathy I hope you're feeling good again, I didn't know you had surgery. Get well soon you hear? I'm sure that with Murphy around that isn't a problem, there's no better way to overcome whatever obstacles you are facing. What an inspawration!

Oh Murphy, what an inspiration! Thanks for sharing his story. It must have been horrible to have so many challenges, but just amazing that you and Murphy and persevered through it all, and he's a happy dog again. The videos are beautiful. Thanks so much.
KATHI!! Did doing the Granny Bump up and down the stairs with Murphy cause you to be on pain meds??? No more butt bumping stair climbing for you for awhile!!

These videos have me just grinning and grining and grinning some more! Murph is soooo respectful of Gus (or more like SCARED). And the twonof them playingninnthe snow withntails wagging non-stop!! Gus looks like a puppy and Murphy is not being held back by in any way, shape or formby being a tripawd...a tripawd with thr no less!!
Kathi, having you and Murphy here is so uplifting, so inspirational. It seems as though we are seeing more cases of tripawds...or soon to be tripawds with hip issues or knee issues and they are faced with more surgery and a hard road of recovery. I dontw know if you've had time to check on Ziggy's blog. I know Jerry gave them a link to Murphy's story. Ziggy is a tripawd PUPPY (front leg) whose remaining front leg will have to have surgery to correct a worsening birth defect. I know you and Murph will be a huge rock of support for them.
Murphy, I saw you looking for green beans under that snow! I think your mom and dad should get some store brought green beans and hide them under the snow and video you sniffing them out!

I've been out of town and just now catching up.
No, Sally, the Granny bump didn't do me in. That post was from last winter! The Granny bump isn't even necessary anymore. Murphy just tromps upstairs like his old self, sometimes even skipping the last couple of stairs.
