Hooray for a good Dexter update! We're pulling for that little sweet pea!
Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!
I had to catch up on Dexter's posts, but since reading your last post I have tears in my eyes! It looks like Dexter is getting the miracle he so desperately needs. Kudos to his doctors for donating their time and expertise and to you for not giving up on your sweet puppy! Sending lots of positive thoughts and prayers to Dexter!

♥♥♥ Lots of supplements and love!!! ♥♥♥
Rejoicing with tears of joy for Dexter!! This is AMAZING NEWS!!!! I am so happy for you!!! While reading the post I got chills all over!! It is a miracle!! Bless those doctors for being willing to help Dexter!! I will keep up the praying for Dexter for his surgery and healing to go well. He so much deserves to be a happy healthy puppy. It might be a hard road but after he is healed you can finally breathe a sigh of relief and just maybe get back to a normal life with the everyday pleasures with your puppy!! Good Luck!! I am so estatic for you!!
So I take Dexter to the vet Monday morning and they are taking him to North Carolina for his surgery. I am scared and I am going to miss him but I just have to hope for the best. I want to see him run and play like a normal dog so badly. We decided to spoil him this weekend with a giant bone, a pig ear (which he loves) and a new squeaky toy. Here is a footage of him getting all three at once. He is in doggie heaven right now.
Wow , Dexter does look like he is in Doggie Heaven! He looks like he is having so much fun! He is so very cute! Good luck with his surgery. I know you are going to miss him badly but it will be worth it. Hang in there! Wishing for the best outcome for Dexter and praying that everything goes perfectly with the surgery.
Hoping to here good news after his surgery! Poor little guy deserves a break. He's such a doll.
All the best,
Jackie, Angel Abby's mom

Indeed, good luck to Dexter. Please keep us updated on how this goes.
How's the fund-raising going?

From abandoned puppy to Tripawd Warrior Dude, Dakota became one of the 2011 February Furballs due to STS. Our incredibly sweet friend lived with grace and dignity till he impulsively raced over the Bridge on 12-15-12.
Dakota's thoughtful and erudite blog is at http://shari.tr.....pawds.com/
The videos were so sweet. Sending you lots of good wishes for a successful surgery.
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Well Dexter will be having the surgery some time this morning. I am a nervous wreck, hopefully they will call as soon as he wakes up to let me know how it went. It was lonely not having him at home yesterday. Still not sure when I will get him back.
Dakota Dawg- I have raised $100.00 my mom has pleged $100.00 as well so thats $200. We are supposed to have a yard sale to raise funds which hopefully will cover the difference. I still don't know what the exact amount is for that either so I am still a little on edge about that. But it must not be a big deal since they went ahead and took Dexter without telling me how much and collecting payment. I will keep you all updated as I get news. Thank you for all your support.
Good luck Dexter! We'll be thinking of you today and sending lots of good juju.
