Boy, Lori can relate better than any of us! She kept pushing too and FINALLY got ome action! Take a play out of her playbook and don't let them get off course! There is no better advocate for Quixote than you!
Sending hugs!

Ahhh it just feels like I have to fight for all of the medical treatments. First they didnt want to remove his leg, so they did the other surgery despite what I wanted. When the surgery they did failed they wanted to put him on pain meds for life or do a denervation surgery, so I had to switch vets to get the amputation. Now I have to fight with this vet to do what I think is the right course of action, it gets tiring.
Have you gotten anywhere? Sorry for the vet complement. I thought she was actually listening to you.Sounds like you are going through the same exact hoops I jumped through. I had to suggest and then beg and insist. Keep on them for cultures. I just got to the point that I did not care if I was P..ing people. Off or not. And I am not usually like that. Hope he is doing ok. Lori, Ty & gang
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
They are healing nicely. Never found out what they were or are or why they appeared. I treated him with flea meds 3 days ago and then he got a fever, his entire body is swollen, and his skin is red/pink. His tongue and the inside of his ears are a purplish hue. We are treating him with Benedryl, Clindamycin, Suralan and traameel. He seems to be doing better (ish)! I am so tired of the random medical issues. And before anyone asks the flea medication I used was out of a new pack yes but its a brand I have always used and NO ONE else is reacting to it. This doesnt rule out an allergic reaction but makes it less likely
Gosh...jist read this....AFTER I responded to your other post. Yel, I brought up the flea stuff..sorry! Well, that's one thing we can rule out
Glad he is doing better though!
