My husband and I are taking our first vacation in over 5 years. We are leaving on 12/2 for Cabo San Lucas and returning 12/9. I doubt that I will be near a computer since we plan on doing lots of outdoor activities (and maybe stopping at Cabo Wabo for a tequila or two). I just wanted to let everyone know that I will not be around in case anyone posts in the "ask a vet" forum.
Pam

Sadie is my 9yr old Rott/Shepherd mix. Diagnosed with osteosarcoma in her right scapula 1/28/10. Our brave girl had her amputation 2/13/10 and her last chemotherapy on 6/6/10. Unfortunately, a tumor appeared in her back right leg and on 10/7/2010 Sadie's earthly journey came to an end. On 10/24/2010 we adopted Ranger, a handsome Rott/Lab mix tripawd (got hit by a car) I think Sadie sent him to us.

Sounds like it is a well overdue vacation. You guys have a great time! We'll hold down the 'Ask a vet' forum for you. And we'll be sure to preface all our advice with 'Not actually a vet, our resident vet is on vacation!"

She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Pam,
I hope you and your husband have a grand time. You certainly deserve it. You may not have know this but Fortis likes tequila too! I posted a picture a while back.
Don't worry about the "Ask A Vet" forum, I'm good at sounding like I know what I'm talking about!
Have fun

Hey Comet
Congratulations on your 2000 post!!! Did I miss the big day?!? Did you have a Big Pawty???
I tried to find our thread about our select 1000 and 2000 post club (aka Club Blabbermouth), but failed. Given we are hijacking this topic for a week (or more), I figure it is A Ok to eat up precious ask-a-vet space with this vitally important topic! I have a hunch I'll never catch up to you and Trouble.
