Hi Pam

Tazzie 2 is enjoying his mushrooms. But it was a wonderful weekend up here and he definitely overdid it. We went to a beach on Lake Winnipeg that would make you California and Washington residents jealous.

I am wondering if it is safe to give him a few rounds of tramadol (e.g., 50 mg twice a day for a couple of days) when he on Artemisinin . My vet seems pretty clear on drug interactions but I don't know if that extends to Artemisinin , given it is not in common use. This is Sunday so I have not asked her.

He does take Metacam in the mornings but I thought some extra pain relief would be justified right now. His hind legs seem sore, probably due to the bad hip issue not the lumps. Or do you have another idea for pain relief?

Tramadol is fine with artemisinin and your Tazzie's maximum dose of Tramadol is 2-3 tablets 2-3 times daily and only side effects would be sedation or nausea (at high doses).
